Popular culture has left us with the idea that “failure is not an option”. While no one likes to fail, the reality of the situation is failure happens. On this episode of Insights Into Teens we’re going to talk about what failure is and how to turn failures into positive and constructive experiences.
This week we’re talking about teens and accountability. We’ll define what accountability is and how to hold teens accountable. Then we’ll talk about setting goals and how to help our teens realize those goals. Finally we’ll look at ways to help instill accountability in teens and help them make themselves successful.
This week we take a look at some common goals that teens have for the near and long term future. We’ll examine which short term goals are worth exploring and the benefits they offer. We will also look at how to tackle the bigger long term goals and why you want to start making plans in advance for them in order to make them more obtainable.
We will then explore hints and advice on how parents, guardians, friends and loved ones can help their teen to achieve these goals. We’ll look at how important it is for teens to pursue goals that are relevant to themselves and not necessarily pursue goals based on other peoples desires. We will also look at how we can help teens achieve their goals and stay on the path to success in the long run.
