A review of the biggest let downs of the D23 Expo and Bob Iger steps down from the Apple board to avoid a conflict of interest. We say good bye to movie pass as it shuts it doors, Felicity Huffman as she shuffles off to prison and Eddie Money who succumbed to cancer. Then we’ll finish up with a couple of great Insightful Picks of the week.
Disney is turning into a regular fight club with yet another fist fight at a Disney Park. We’ll follow up on the score card from the last fight in Disneyland. Then we’ll talk about how Disney is desperately clawing its way to the top movies spot with it’s desperate attempts to unseat Avatar as the highest grossing movie ever with Avengers End Game. We’ll look at some Doctor Who news, then a few articles about one of our favorite shows The Orville before we finish up with our Insightful Picks of the Week.
This week we take a look at the latest money grab opportunities that Disney is going after. From the re-release of Avengers: End Game to snatch another $45 million to the raising of annual passes at Disney World by as much as 25%. We’ll scratch our heads as we try to figure out how a company that makes more money than God needs even more money. Even paying the outrageous salary of their CEO can’t justify these latest money grabs.
We open with the newest Spiderman: Far From Home trailer (with spoiler warning). Then we jump right into Disney Detective talking about the announcement of new Star Wars and Avatar movies followed by Disney’s attempts to acquire Comcast’s remaining interests in Hulu. In entertainment news we look at Billy Joel turning seventy and we happily announce FX picking up one of our favorite shows “What We Do in the Shadows” for a second season and how well it’s doing in the ratings. Then we finish up with a couple Insightful Picks of the week.
