Today we’re talking about teens and acceptance. We’ll explore what acceptance is and why it’s important. Then we’ll talk a little bit about understanding teen development and how that plays into acceptance. Finally we’ll explore tips on improving teen acceptance.
After a week off we’re back with a discussion on Personal Freedom for Teens. We discuss how the proper balance of freedom and boundaries is important for allowing our teens to grow, mature and take on new responsibilities. We’ll look at some of the issues that parents face when granting personal freedoms to teens. We’ll also look at some of the temptations and consequences of too much personal freedom in teens.We take a look at how to best balance the need for freedom for teens to explore who they are and who they want to be while still maintaining that layer of protection that all parents feel for their children.
In this special interview episode we talk about grandparents, how important they are to our children and the knowledge and experience they pass on to the younger generation. Sadly Madison’s biological grandparents are no longer with us. However, she was fortunate enough to acquire an adoptive set of fantastic grandparents thanks to our extended family.
Joining us for this special episode is Madison’s adopted grandmother “G-Ma” to share some of her memories and experiences with us. She’s been a part of Madison’s life since she was born and has shared numerous fantastic memories with us already. This is Madison’s chance to get to know a little bit more about her adopted grandmother in this touching and humorous episode.

Asking over thirty questions we take a look at some of the things mommy remembers most fondly about Madison growing up. We take a look at what is still the funniest memory in the form a short home movie, we’ll look at what her favorite song was and some of her “firsts”. We’ll also get a chance to look at our aspiring artists early hand at visual arts.
