- Disney World Has a Massive Sinkhole in EPCOT
- https://insidethemagic.net/2021/06/disney-world-massive-sinkhole-ad1/
- https://bit.ly/34KodlW
- If there is one thing Florida has plenty of, it is swampy land. The entire state is heavily a wetland habitat, as any Disney Guest can attest to the humidity in the air.
- Because of the temperate climate, it can be tough to build in some areas of Florida. One of the biggest problems someone can encounter when building anything in Florida is the many sinkholes that fill the state. Foundation Professional’s noted:
- Sinkholes can form anywhere in Florida, but the highest activity level occurs in west central Florida because of the karst limestone environment. There are several influences that increase the risk of sinkhole activity such as long-term weather conditions, heavy acidic rains, and drought-like conditions.
- If we take a look at Walt Disney World property, it seems impossible that an area the size of San Fransisco does not have any sinkholes — which is actually true! Disney World has a massive sinkhole on the property, and it is actually in the center of EPCOT.
- As we can see from monorailsupplyco’s TikTok, EPCOT holds the deepest sinkhole in Florida!
- The TikTok explains that the sinkhole caused major issues for Disney when EPCOT was being built, as it would suck in cars and trucks. To fix the problem, Disney decided to turn the sinkhole into a lagoon. The sinkhole can be found in the water under the bridge, connecting Future World to the World Showcase.
- During a Q&A for the 30th anniversary, Imagineer Marty Sklar discussed the sinkhole:
- “One of the reasons there’s so much space between Future World and the World Showcase lagoon is that we discovered a gigantic sink hole near where the Odyssey Restaurant is,” Marty said. “We couldn’t build anything on top of it.”
- So, if there is one body of water at Disney World you definitely do not want to lose anything in, this would definitely be the one!
- Disney World Opts for 50th Anniversary Celebration with Zero Nostalgia

- The commercial shows banners and the “Beacon of Magic” lighting we have been promised for the event, but not much else. The song choice is “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, which is odd, given that not much new is actually announced to open for this event, other than a delayed Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, you know, a ride that opened at Disneyland Paris in 2014 and was supposed to open at EPCOT in 2020. Disney stalled, delayed, and even halted construction on other attractions planned for the 50th anniversary, most notably TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, but they also haven’t hit a ride opening deadline in Florida in many years, so we expected those to be a little late to the party anyway.
- Before we start blaming the pandemic for this situation, let’s also remember that Universal Orlando Resort completed the VelociCoaster during the pandemic, a large-scale roller coaster attraction with zero animatronics. That’s not wildly different from what TRON or Guardians of the Galaxy are, with the exception of being mostly indoors, in gravity buildings that were pretty-much completed before a park closed in Orlando in March 2020. Smaller, regional theme parks completed many of their rides that were being constructed at the time as well, many of them debuting those attractions this summer.
- Regardless, the broken promises of new attractions are not even the reason I am writing this. I could easily forgive the delay of major additions if given something, anything actually celebrating 50 years of Walt Disney World. As of now, there is no museum aspect, no major ride restoration, no nostalgia-laden advertising, and no press release that even mentions anything from the past.
- What was striking to me about the commercial, for a monumental 50th anniversary, is that it has zero references to the storied history and legacy of the Vacation Kingdom of the World. There is no mention of Walt Disney and his last great dream, or even a nostalgic look at vintage footage of guests and characters in the parks. They took the time to put 16 “hidden” references in the commercial, yet none of them are related to anything other than Disney films. We are not celebrating 50 years of Disney movies on October 1st, by the way.
- Here’s a recent Disney Parks ad that actively grabbed hold of your emotions and memories of the past in a thoughtful way:
- The above isn’t even an anniversary ad, it was just for a short return of an old parade. Mind you, Disneyland Resort typically shows an understanding for what people love about the place, and that dates back to their 50th birthday.
- Disneyland’s 50th anniversary celebration was not littered with new attractions either, but it did embrace the park’s incredible history. A film starring Steve Martin to recap the five decades that came before played at the Main Street Opera House and was accompanied by a thoughtful and well-curated historical exhibit. Classic attractions were also restored and added new magic, such as Walt Disney Enchanted Tiki Room, The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, and more. This formula worked so well that Disneyland has replicated it over and over again, parlaying it into a massively successful Diamond Celebration in 2015 and decades of nostalgic merchandise that they have sold since 2005.
- Ads for Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary celebrated nostalgia too, along with the original song, “Remember the Magic”:
- Smaller amusement parks are even doing a better job than Disney World on capturing these feelings, all while celebrating their key milestones. Knott’s Berry Farm is marking 100 years this year, and in celebration, you’ll find a new attraction that pays homage to a long-lost one, resurrected meet and greet characters from the past, and photo-ops for extinct attractions. These are not wildly expensive things, they’re just thoughtful and show some level of care.
- What is so remarkable about a 50th anniversary is that guests who have visited over all 50 years are still with us and can return to celebrate this special place. Walt Disney World has been visited by so many people over these decades, and it’s not just people who are active fans on social media. There are millions of people who have an emotional connection to memories made at these parks and resorts, memories that pre-date the attention span of the management currently in the company and their marketing strategy. Doing small, yet thoughtful things playing on our nostalgia means something to us, the most loyal and loving of guests, and shows people that you care about more than just their money. A golden anniversary is not the time to look at your audience as numbers, it is a time to embrace their feelings for your destinations and establish a connection with them, showing that you understand what they cherish about it.
- With 126 days left until October 1st, 2021, I think I speak for everyone in saying we hope something will materialize, something showing an appreciation for returning guests and the incredible feats that were pulled off in 1971 and beyond.
- We are pleading with The Walt Disney Company to care about this anniversary before it is too late. There is no do-over on a 50th birthday celebration.

- Star Wars: Fox Memos From 1976 Resurface Regarding Excitement for A New Hope
- https://comicbook.com/starwars/news/star-wars-fox-memos-from-1976-resurface-regarding-excitement-new-hope/
- https://bit.ly/34XM0yV
- Oftentimes when we hear about studio notes and memos for classic films, think Back to the Future and Blade Runner as notable examples, it’s because persons involved in the production or release didn’t think it would be successful and didn’t believe in it. Though there were certainly people involved in George Lucas’ classic film Star Wars, memos from 20th Century Fox have surfaced online revealing that a lot of people knew that the movie was going to be a hit a year before the movie (later retitled to include the “Episode IV: A New Hope” subtitle) was even released. See them yourself below!
- Author and documentarian Charles de Lauzirika posted the images which include some choice excerpts by 20th Century Fox VP of Domestic Distribution, Peter S. Myers like: “Alan Ladd Jr. saw a rough assemblage without music, special effects or dubbing, and as conservative as he is he just flipped claiming it is the best picture he has ever seen;” “They claim the picture has a look never seen on the screen before and that it is so believable you never feel it is other than the present even though the location and equipment are space in the year 2000 plus;” and “I am saying the picture should get better treatment than Godfather, King Kong, Jaws, Poseidon (Adventure) or Towering Inferno.”
- The memos were previously published (in a now deleted post) on StarWars.com.
- Series creator, and “Episode IV” director, George Lucas is no longer involved in the franchise that he began with that film, selling off Lucasfilm to The Walt Disney Company back in 2012. This acquisition resulted in a major expansion of the Star Wars franchise with not only the “sequel trilogy” of movies, two spin-off movies (Rogue One and Solo), plus the many Disney+ original shows. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t still visit his creation as Lucas has popped up on the set of The Mandalorian more than once.
- “He would be giving Dave a hard time about how many setups he was getting and how fast he was shooting and urging him to go faster,” series creator Jon Favreau shared with Entertainment Weekly last September. “He was like a boxer’s cornerman coaching him, but always with a twinkle in his eye.”
- George Lucas Reportedly Taking Back Creative Control of ‘Star Wars’
- https://insidethemagic.net/2021/05/george-lucas-return-to-star-wars-rwb1/?fbclid=IwAR1P9rAdJBRK05JQ5aFBVtiMrF9W-DiRD_Fx2iO-QTjX3c_bSiYTkMBsHGs
- https://bit.ly/3yZPHSs
- When Star Wars creator George Lucas sold his space opera franchise to The Walt Disney Company in 2012, Star Wars fans weren’t sure exactly what would happen to beloved characters like Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), and Han Solo (Harrison Ford).
- Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy proved to be divisive, with many moviegoers unhappy with the fates of the original trilogy’s core trio and the general lack of direction the three films — Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), and Episode IX – The Rise of Skwyalker (2019) — seemed to have.
- American Graffiti (1973) director Lucas has publicly acknowledged that he expected to have more say in the Star Wars sequels — which were directed by JJ Abrams, Rian Johnson, and Abrams again — and in the development of new characters like Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
- Lucas has also shared that he had already begun writing his own sequel trilogy, which would have seen Princess Leia emerge as the “Chosen One” and would have had Darth Maul’s apprentice, Darth Talon, as its villain.
- In recent years, rumors of Lucas’s official return to the Star Wars universe have swirled online. These intensified after he was seen on the set of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s hit Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, and IMDb included his name on the writing credits for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) prequel show, Andor (2022).
- Now, a new report indicates that Lucas may be bankrolling an upcoming Star Wars trilogy, effectively taking back much of the creative control he lost when sitting Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy was put in charge of the Star Wars galaxy.
- It is important to note that this information remains entirely unconfirmed by either The Walt Disney Company or Lucasfilm. Furthermore, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek recently announced that Kennedy’s tenure with Disney will continue, at least for the foreseeable future.
- However, given Lucas’s own comments about desiring “more say” in the sequels and his involvement in The Mandalorian, it would not be shocking to see there be at least some truth to this new rumor.
- The report did not indicate what the plot of the purported new Star Wars trilogy might be.
- At this time — in addition to nearly a dozen Star Wars shows that are currently in development for the Disney+ streaming platform — there are several confirmed Star Wars feature films coming down the pipeline. Patty Jenkins’s Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023) is set to be the next movie installment in the Star Wars story.
- In addition, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is working on a project with Loki writer Michael Waldron, while Thor franchise director Taika Waititi is already scouting filming locations for his upcoming Star Wars movie.
- The only known trilogy in the works is Rian Johnson’s, but it is not known if Lucas’s reported project would be connected to an existing project or be something entirely different.
- For now, you can catch up on Lucas’s six Skywalker Saga films from the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy — Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) — on Disney+ anytime.

- Taika Waititi Reportedly Reprimanded By Disney For Racy Photos With Tessa Thompson
- https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/taika-waititi-reportedly-reprimanded-disney-racy-photos-tessa-thompson/?fbclid=IwAR2soqL4K0x8BsAPbINC5Lo6fWHSFXr7TnWHFvJrxymbF_SOLT2_4ZstW4M

- Disney is famous for fiercely protecting its family-friendly reputation, which is why the studio often has no hesitation letting go of key talent who cause an unwanted stir online – e.g. Gina Carano or, temporarily, James Gunn. This situation’s a little different, though.
- Marvel director Taika Waititi recently became the talk of Twitter when some paparazzi photos depicting him in a romantic moment with both actress Tessa Thompson and singer Rita Ora went viral. Obviously, this is Waititi’s private life and he’s just the victim of some unwanted attention from the press, but this revelation about what appears to be a polyamorous relationship between the three individuals has nonetheless ruffled a few feathers at Disney HQ.
- The Daily Telegraph Australia is reporting that the studio has reprimanded Waititi over the racy photos coming to light. The specifics of this telling-off that the filmmaker received from Disney have yet to be revealed, so it’s unclear how much trouble he’s in. However, the outlet does note that this is “not exactly the image” the studio is looking to project in relation to one of their biggest franchises. It’s said that execs were always aware of the New Zealand native’s reputation as a “party animal,” but they feel this situation “cross[es] a line.”
- The photos in question were snapped outside of Waititi’s home in Bondi, Australia and as we know, Thor: Love and Thunder is currently shooting down under, with Thompson reprising her role as Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok. Ora is likewise believed to be involved in the production in some capacity, probably in a brief cameo – much like Matt Damon, Melissa McCarthy and various other famous friends of his that Waititi’s managed to get involved.
- Taika Waititi is arguably one of the most popular directors around at the moment – in terms of both public appreciation and industry acclaim – so something tells us that Disney will want to keep him on board despite any problems they might have with his private relationships being exposed like this. But as always, we’ll just need to wait and see how things play out here.
- Actor Gavin MacLeod of ‘The Love Boat’ and ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ dies at age 90
- https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/29/entertainment/gavin-macleod-obituary/index.html
- https://cnn.it/3cfIDae
- Gavin MacLeod, known for his roles on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Love Boat,” died Saturday, his nephew Mark See told Variety.
- He was 90 years old.
- MacLeod’s birth name was Allan See, but in his memoir, “This is Your Captain Speaking,” he wrote that he considered his last name to be “too confusing” and changed it to honor an acting teacher.
- MacLeod wrote he also had to deal with premature hair loss, going bald while still in college.
- After a busy career of bit parts in television and film, MacLeod first achieved fame as part of the ensemble of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” a breakthrough sitcom in which he played news writer Murray Slaughter.
- Murray often served as a confidante to Moore’s character, rolled his eyes at the cluelessness of WJM anchor Ted Baxter and absorbed the fierce temper of WJM news director Lou Grant.
- On Twitter, actor Ed Asner — who played Grant — wrote, “My heart is broken. Gavin was my brother, my partner in crime (and food) and my comic conspirator.”
- Asner noted that MacLeod’s death leaves him and Betty White as the only two living principal cast members of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
- Following the end of that program in 1977, MacLeod moved into a starring role in “The Love Boat,” the campy melodrama set on a cruise ship.
- MacLeod got top billing as “Your Captain,” the dedicated and friendly Merrill Stubing.
- The “Boat” pulled into port for the last time after nine seasons, but MacLeod continued to embrace his character, making many public appearances in costume.
- He also served as an “ambassador” for Princess Cruises, the company that provided the ship used in the series.
- “All of us send our heartfelt condolences to his entire family, and offer our sincerest gratitude to them for sharing Gavin with all of us for so many years,” Princess Cruises said in a tweet Saturday.
- After “The Love Boat,” MacLeod became an evangelical Christian. He credited his faith with allowing him to end his abuse of alcohol and reconciling with his wife Patti, whom he remarried in 1985.
- The cause of MacLeod’s death was not released Saturday.
- Gavin MacLeod, known for his roles on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Love Boat,” died Saturday, his nephew Mark See told Variety.

- Acting coach Sandy Kominsky and best friend Norman Newlander keep each other laughing as they navigate the ups and downs of getting older.
- He may be in his twilight years, but aging acting coach Sandy Kominsky isn’t ready to ride off into the sunset just yet. The once-famous Kominsky and his longtime agent, Norman Newlander, keep each other laughing as they tackle the curveballs that life throws at them while navigating their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty. The Netflix original sitcom has a strong Hollywood pedigree; it was created by multiple Emmy winner Chuck Lorre and stars Oscar winners Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin as Kominsky and Newlander, respectively.
- The Kominsky Method is an American comedy-drama streaming television series created by Chuck Lorre, that premiered November 16, 2018, on Netflix. It stars Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Sarah Baker, Nancy Travis, and Kathleen Turner and follows an aging acting coach who, years earlier, had a brief moment of success as an actor. In January 2019, it was announced that it had been renewed for a second season, which premiered October 25, 2019. In July 2020, it was renewed for a third and final season, which premiered May 28, 2021.

ginsu knives
0:03:10.560,0:03:13.920
no against your knives not this week no
0:03:12.239,0:03:14.400
again soon maybe next time you never
0:03:13.920,0:03:17.680
know
0:03:14.400,0:03:18.400
are we ready sure so before we get
0:03:17.680,0:03:20.720
started
0:03:18.400,0:03:21.680
right i was right i was wondering i
0:03:20.720,0:03:23.599
didn’t put it in the
0:03:21.680,0:03:24.799
show notes i was waiting i was going to
0:03:23.599,0:03:26.480
be like
0:03:24.799,0:03:27.840
right so why don’t you why don’t you
0:03:26.480,0:03:29.599
introduce
0:03:27.840,0:03:31.680
what we’re about to show so this was
0:03:29.599,0:03:32.000
something that we had talked about a
0:03:31.680,0:03:33.840
couple
0:03:32.000,0:03:35.120
of weeks ago that was going to be
0:03:33.840,0:03:38.080
returning
0:03:35.120,0:03:39.440
um and that is the new jersey
0:03:38.080,0:03:41.920
renaissance fair
0:03:39.440,0:03:42.959
uh that is held in is that board in town
0:03:41.920,0:03:44.879
yeah i think that’s bordenton
0:03:42.959,0:03:46.080
yeah i think it’s board in town um it’s
0:03:44.879,0:03:49.280
been at the same location
0:03:46.080,0:03:49.680
for about 11 years i think 10 or 11
0:03:49.280,0:03:52.560
years
0:03:49.680,0:03:52.959
i think so i think it’s been um been
0:03:52.560,0:03:54.159
there
0:03:52.959,0:03:56.319
because we’ve been going since it
0:03:54.159,0:03:57.040
started right because we had gone that
0:03:56.319,0:04:00.959
one year
0:03:57.040,0:04:00.959
to wildwood right we want to talk
0:04:05.920,0:04:09.599
yeah that was probably the worst
0:04:07.680,0:04:11.200
renaissance in the desert
0:04:09.599,0:04:13.120
that was probably the worst version of
0:04:11.200,0:04:14.480
the run fair uh so yeah
0:04:13.120,0:04:17.040
last weekend happened to be their
0:04:14.480,0:04:20.320
opening weekend obviously
0:04:17.040,0:04:21.919
last year they didn’t uh do anything for
0:04:20.320,0:04:24.000
the run fair they did everything
0:04:21.919,0:04:25.600
virtually let me run the video while you
0:04:24.000,0:04:29.840
described sure so
0:04:25.600,0:04:29.840
we’re gonna run our little video
0:04:30.479,0:04:35.840
um so it was you know a little
0:04:34.670,0:04:40.000
[Music]
0:04:35.840,0:04:40.000
watered down wow
0:04:40.080,0:04:43.280
do you like that pun uh because it was
0:04:42.000,0:04:46.800
very rainy
0:04:43.280,0:04:47.840
yeah so unfortunately um you had to buy
0:04:46.800,0:04:50.960
your tickets
0:04:47.840,0:04:52.639
in advance with a specific day
0:04:50.960,0:04:54.720
unfortunately we knew it was gonna be a
0:04:52.639,0:04:57.199
rainy day we had no
0:04:54.720,0:04:58.560
choice but you don’t normally have to do
0:04:57.199,0:05:00.800
right
0:04:58.560,0:05:02.080
right so normally when you buy a ticket
0:05:00.800,0:05:05.120
it’s usually good
0:05:02.080,0:05:08.080
any day of that the fair is open but
0:05:05.120,0:05:11.199
because of limited capacity
0:05:08.080,0:05:13.520
coveted restrictions trying to be safe
0:05:11.199,0:05:14.240
they limited the amount of people for
0:05:13.520,0:05:15.600
each day
0:05:14.240,0:05:17.520
and of course you had to buy your
0:05:15.600,0:05:20.560
tickets in advance um
0:05:17.520,0:05:22.800
at the start of the weekend both
0:05:20.560,0:05:24.320
saturday and sunday were already sold
0:05:22.800,0:05:26.240
out so it was one of those you were
0:05:24.320,0:05:27.759
taking a chance
0:05:26.240,0:05:29.360
you know so you’re either really really
0:05:27.759,0:05:32.880
hot you’re really really
0:05:29.360,0:05:36.000
cold but it’s actually held
0:05:32.880,0:05:36.880
the location is actually a summer day
0:05:36.000,0:05:40.080
camp
0:05:36.880,0:05:43.520
uh liberty lakes so it’s a
0:05:40.080,0:05:44.880
really nice area a lot of the area as
0:05:43.520,0:05:48.000
you can see
0:05:44.880,0:05:49.440
is actually paved for you know most of
0:05:48.000,0:05:51.280
the walkways
0:05:49.440,0:05:53.680
there was a little bit of mud in some
0:05:51.280,0:05:55.919
areas but overall it wasn’t too bad
0:05:53.680,0:05:57.440
obviously all of the vendors there had
0:05:55.919,0:06:00.479
their tents
0:05:57.440,0:06:03.840
so they were pretty well protected
0:06:00.479,0:06:07.199
the food area they had it um
0:06:03.840,0:06:09.680
it was a smaller offering
0:06:07.199,0:06:11.520
because again they had less people there
0:06:09.680,0:06:12.160
but they had different musicians there
0:06:11.520,0:06:15.360
they
0:06:12.160,0:06:16.960
they still had different musical acts
0:06:15.360,0:06:19.759
and comedy acts
0:06:16.960,0:06:21.199
um and other things going on even though
0:06:19.759,0:06:23.919
you know the weather wasn’t
0:06:21.199,0:06:25.360
the best for it um you know now i can
0:06:23.919,0:06:28.000
take the temperature
0:06:25.360,0:06:29.520
and leave the rain yes so going to a
0:06:28.000,0:06:30.960
renfrew this is why i think renfirst
0:06:29.520,0:06:33.919
need to be running throughout
0:06:30.960,0:06:35.600
like the fall and the early part of the
0:06:33.919,0:06:35.919
winter so that you can actually come out
0:06:35.600,0:06:39.039
with
0:06:35.919,0:06:41.600
all of your costume regalia and not
0:06:39.039,0:06:42.800
roast while you’re right because that’s
0:06:41.600,0:06:46.000
always the problem
0:06:42.800,0:06:48.240
we run into is between you know
0:06:46.000,0:06:50.240
all the different layers and the cloaks
0:06:48.240,0:06:53.039
and the hats and the boots and
0:06:50.240,0:06:54.319
all of that you can only wear it for so
0:06:53.039,0:06:56.880
long
0:06:54.319,0:06:57.599
you know during during the heat so the
0:06:56.880,0:07:01.120
weather
0:06:57.599,0:07:03.919
was perfect if you wanted to
0:07:01.120,0:07:04.479
be all you know bundled up for it right
0:07:03.919,0:07:07.199
um
0:07:04.479,0:07:08.240
so we enjoyed ourselves yeah we didn’t
0:07:07.199,0:07:09.759
stay as long as we
0:07:08.240,0:07:11.360
normally would have we didn’t stay for
0:07:09.759,0:07:13.199
any of the shows or anything like that
0:07:11.360,0:07:14.160
we kind of came we walked the vendors we
0:07:13.199,0:07:16.000
ate
0:07:14.160,0:07:17.919
right it was just kind of to have the
0:07:16.000,0:07:20.319
atmosphere it was it was
0:07:17.919,0:07:21.120
it was you know a get out of the house
0:07:20.319,0:07:22.800
type thing
0:07:21.120,0:07:24.479
you know kind of like the week before
0:07:22.800,0:07:27.919
when we went to the uh
0:07:24.479,0:07:30.400
the horror the monster monsteranium so
0:07:27.919,0:07:31.280
right and the other problem too was that
0:07:30.400,0:07:33.440
while
0:07:31.280,0:07:34.319
you know certain areas they had
0:07:33.440,0:07:37.599
coverings
0:07:34.319,0:07:39.520
for you a lot of the areas where
0:07:37.599,0:07:41.199
uh some of the shows were going on they
0:07:39.520,0:07:43.599
didn’t have anything
0:07:41.199,0:07:45.280
uh for you to to cover so a lot of
0:07:43.599,0:07:48.000
people were walking around with
0:07:45.280,0:07:48.639
umbrellas but then all of the seats were
0:07:48.000,0:07:51.199
all
0:07:48.639,0:07:52.879
wet so then you had to deal with having
0:07:51.199,0:07:56.240
a wet butt if you were gonna
0:07:52.879,0:07:57.039
sit on the seats but again still a lot
0:07:56.240,0:07:58.400
of people there
0:07:57.039,0:08:00.400
it was sold out i’m sure there were
0:07:58.400,0:08:02.960
probably people that didn’t go
0:08:00.400,0:08:04.000
yeah because of the weather made the
0:08:02.960,0:08:06.400
most of it i’m
0:08:04.000,0:08:07.199
glad that we that we did go so yeah
0:08:06.400,0:08:10.840
absolutely
0:08:07.199,0:08:13.840
so we’ll be right back with our disney
0:08:10.840,0:08:13.840
detective
0:08:18.560,0:08:23.520
go for disney detective so there’s one
0:08:20.960,0:08:26.400
thing florida has plenty of and that’s
0:08:23.520,0:08:27.039
swampy land so the entire state is
0:08:26.400,0:08:30.560
obviously
0:08:27.039,0:08:33.360
heavily you know in a wetland habitat
0:08:30.560,0:08:34.240
and as any disney guest can attest to
0:08:33.360,0:08:36.959
the humidity
0:08:34.240,0:08:38.479
in the air as well so because of the
0:08:36.959,0:08:40.640
temperature climate
0:08:38.479,0:08:42.320
it can be tough to build in some areas
0:08:40.640,0:08:43.120
of florida and one of the biggest
0:08:42.320,0:08:45.200
problems
0:08:43.120,0:08:46.480
someone can encounter when building
0:08:45.200,0:08:48.399
anything in florida
0:08:46.480,0:08:49.760
are the many sinkholes that fill the
0:08:48.399,0:08:52.160
state um
0:08:49.760,0:08:52.959
a foundation professional had actually
0:08:52.160,0:08:56.240
noted
0:08:52.959,0:08:58.480
sinkholes sinkholes can form anywhere in
0:08:56.240,0:09:01.839
florida but the highest activity level
0:08:58.480,0:09:02.880
occurs in west central florida because
0:09:01.839,0:09:05.760
of the karst
0:09:02.880,0:09:06.720
limestone environment there are several
0:09:05.760,0:09:08.800
influences
0:09:06.720,0:09:10.959
that increase the risk of sinkhole
0:09:08.800,0:09:12.399
activity such as long-term weather
0:09:10.959,0:09:14.800
conditions
0:09:12.399,0:09:16.080
heavily acidic rains and drought-like
0:09:14.800,0:09:18.480
conditions
0:09:16.080,0:09:19.120
so if we take a look at walters new
0:09:18.480,0:09:21.760
world
0:09:19.120,0:09:22.160
it seems impossible that an area that
0:09:21.760,0:09:24.160
the
0:09:22.160,0:09:25.600
is the size of san francisco doesn’t
0:09:24.160,0:09:28.800
have any sinkholes
0:09:25.600,0:09:29.279
which is actually true so walt disney
0:09:28.800,0:09:31.200
world
0:09:29.279,0:09:35.040
actually has a massive sinkhole on
0:09:31.200,0:09:38.640
property and it’s in the center of epcot
0:09:35.040,0:09:42.640
uh as uh in this article uh they had
0:09:38.640,0:09:43.360
um referenced um monorail supply
0:09:42.640,0:09:46.720
companies
0:09:43.360,0:09:50.720
tick tock where she talks about the
0:09:46.720,0:09:53.680
um the sinkhole in epcot and that
0:09:50.720,0:09:54.320
epcot actually holds the deepest known
0:09:53.680,0:09:57.440
sinkhole
0:09:54.320,0:09:59.200
in florida so in the tick tock uh she
0:09:57.440,0:10:01.519
explains that the sinkhole
0:09:59.200,0:10:03.200
uh caused major issues for disney when
0:10:01.519,0:10:06.160
epcot was being built
0:10:03.200,0:10:07.600
and while you know they were trying to
0:10:06.160,0:10:09.680
build things
0:10:07.600,0:10:12.079
cars and trucks would get stuck in it
0:10:09.680,0:10:13.200
and to fix the problem disney decided to
0:10:12.079,0:10:15.760
turn the sinkhole
0:10:13.200,0:10:16.640
into a lagoon so the sinkhole can be
0:10:15.760,0:10:19.200
found
0:10:16.640,0:10:19.920
in the water under the bridge which is
0:10:19.200,0:10:23.040
connecting
0:10:19.920,0:10:25.200
future world to world showcase
0:10:23.040,0:10:26.079
what was interesting was that during a q
0:10:25.200,0:10:29.839
a
0:10:26.079,0:10:32.079
for epcot’s 30th anniversary imagineer
0:10:29.839,0:10:34.320
marty skylar had actually discussed
0:10:32.079,0:10:35.120
the sinkhole and he had said one of the
0:10:34.320,0:10:37.839
reasons there’s
0:10:35.120,0:10:39.360
so much space between future world and
0:10:37.839,0:10:41.920
the world showcase
0:10:39.360,0:10:42.959
lagoon is that we discovered a gigantic
0:10:41.920,0:10:45.760
sinkhole
0:10:42.959,0:10:46.000
near where the odyssey restaurant is he
0:10:45.760,0:10:47.760
went
0:10:46.000,0:10:49.200
on to say we couldn’t build anything on
0:10:47.760,0:10:51.600
top of it so
0:10:49.200,0:10:53.040
if you know chances are if there’s a big
0:10:51.600,0:10:54.640
giant body of water
0:10:53.040,0:10:56.880
you definitely don’t want to get lost
0:10:54.640,0:10:59.680
because you’ll get
0:10:56.880,0:11:01.440
you know in the big giant sinkhole so
0:10:59.680,0:11:04.720
kind of kind of interesting
0:11:01.440,0:11:06.160
you know to to think you know because
0:11:04.720,0:11:08.800
that’s one of the interesting things
0:11:06.160,0:11:12.480
with disney because there are so many
0:11:08.800,0:11:15.680
um water aspects that
0:11:12.480,0:11:18.720
are man-made and it’s like okay so is it
0:11:15.680,0:11:21.440
man-made because of a big giant sinkhole
0:11:18.720,0:11:22.079
or was it hey we needed to put something
0:11:21.440,0:11:24.720
here
0:11:22.079,0:11:26.480
well it makes me wonder how safe is the
0:11:24.720,0:11:27.839
land around the sinkhole that they were
0:11:26.480,0:11:29.519
able to build on it
0:11:27.839,0:11:31.200
yeah that’s the thing because you figure
0:11:29.519,0:11:34.240
it’s been 30 plus
0:11:31.200,0:11:36.399
years now that that you know that
0:11:34.240,0:11:38.000
foundation has to wear out at some point
0:11:36.399,0:11:38.640
in time because of all the liquid that
0:11:38.000,0:11:41.519
you have
0:11:38.640,0:11:42.079
anyway yeah so i’m guessing they
0:11:41.519,0:11:45.279
probably
0:11:42.079,0:11:48.079
go in and and test or or do
0:11:45.279,0:11:49.360
whatever they they can you know this is
0:11:48.079,0:11:50.000
going to convince me to stay away from
0:11:49.360,0:11:52.720
that problem
0:11:50.000,0:11:54.160
or at least that side don’t don’t walk
0:11:52.720,0:11:56.720
on
0:11:54.160,0:11:57.279
by the odyssey restaurant right just to
0:11:56.720,0:11:59.760
walk
0:11:57.279,0:12:01.440
yeah but yeah it kind of makes you like
0:11:59.760,0:12:03.920
oh yeah why is there
0:12:01.440,0:12:04.560
so much space over here and nothing was
0:12:03.920,0:12:05.760
ever
0:12:04.560,0:12:07.760
built there because it kind of seemed
0:12:05.760,0:12:09.680
like a prime area to
0:12:07.760,0:12:11.279
to do something it’s kind of funny that
0:12:09.680,0:12:13.680
it’s coming out now
0:12:11.279,0:12:15.279
you know 30 years later it makes me
0:12:13.680,0:12:17.839
almost makes me wonder like
0:12:15.279,0:12:18.560
was it a secret right was it a secret
0:12:17.839,0:12:20.720
are they
0:12:18.560,0:12:22.959
doing something about it now is there a
0:12:20.720,0:12:23.279
problem with it did do they inspect it
0:12:22.959,0:12:26.240
and
0:12:23.279,0:12:26.959
are they going to be part of what like
0:12:26.240,0:12:29.040
because they’re re
0:12:26.959,0:12:30.639
they’re doing a big revamp of right like
0:12:29.040,0:12:31.279
did they discover something during this
0:12:30.639,0:12:33.360
revamp
0:12:31.279,0:12:35.360
maybe or maybe it’s like okay it’s been
0:12:33.360,0:12:39.120
so many years we have to go back in and
0:12:35.360,0:12:40.959
right and i’m reinforced
0:12:39.120,0:12:42.639
yeah that this information would come
0:12:40.959,0:12:44.530
out now yeah
0:12:42.639,0:12:45.839
while they’re doing the work
0:12:44.530,0:12:48.079
[Music]
0:12:45.839,0:12:48.959
so tell us about the 50th anniversary
0:12:48.079,0:12:52.560
yeah so
0:12:48.959,0:12:56.000
this article talks about how um there’s
0:12:52.560,0:12:57.120
you know the 50th anniversary of walt
0:12:56.000,0:13:00.480
disney world
0:12:57.120,0:13:02.639
is going to be uh this october uh
0:13:00.480,0:13:04.000
obviously with everything that was going
0:13:02.639,0:13:05.360
on last year
0:13:04.000,0:13:07.279
lots of different things were kind of
0:13:05.360,0:13:08.079
put on hold but what was kind of
0:13:07.279,0:13:10.800
interesting
0:13:08.079,0:13:11.279
and what this article talks about is how
0:13:10.800,0:13:14.320
um
0:13:11.279,0:13:18.160
you know the tagline is beacon of magic
0:13:14.320,0:13:21.600
um you know and it’s uh lighting we have
0:13:18.160,0:13:24.000
been promised you know um you know for
0:13:21.600,0:13:25.440
for the event and the song choice is a
0:13:24.000,0:13:27.440
whole new world which
0:13:25.440,0:13:28.800
was kind of you know they said kind of
0:13:27.440,0:13:31.120
odd for this
0:13:28.800,0:13:32.160
because there’s not a lot of stuff
0:13:31.120,0:13:35.440
that’s going to be
0:13:32.160,0:13:37.440
new for the 50th anniversary so you had
0:13:35.440,0:13:38.720
the delay of remy’s ratatouille
0:13:37.440,0:13:41.040
adventure
0:13:38.720,0:13:43.120
that had actually opened in disneyland
0:13:41.040,0:13:44.959
paris in 2014
0:13:43.120,0:13:46.880
so it wasn’t even like it was brand new
0:13:44.959,0:13:49.040
rye technology it was
0:13:46.880,0:13:51.519
basically a copy of a ride they already
0:13:49.040,0:13:54.800
had and that was supposed to open
0:13:51.519,0:13:57.440
in 2020 so okay that got delayed
0:13:54.800,0:13:59.199
then disney stalled and delayed and
0:13:57.440,0:14:02.480
halted construction
0:13:59.199,0:14:04.320
on the tron light cycle ride
0:14:02.480,0:14:05.600
that again was supposed to be open for
0:14:04.320,0:14:07.519
the 50th anniversary
0:14:05.600,0:14:09.600
as well as the guardians of the galaxy
0:14:07.519,0:14:12.160
ride um
0:14:09.600,0:14:14.000
and also the article talks about that
0:14:12.160,0:14:17.920
disney actually hasn’t hit
0:14:14.000,0:14:20.240
an opening deadline in many years so
0:14:17.920,0:14:22.079
it’s kind of like you kind of expect it
0:14:20.240,0:14:25.120
but the other thing too is you can’t
0:14:22.079,0:14:28.160
be blaming the pandemic for this because
0:14:25.120,0:14:30.079
universal orlando completed their new
0:14:28.160,0:14:34.000
coaster during the pandemic
0:14:30.079,0:14:36.880
and it’s as big of a coaster you know
0:14:34.000,0:14:38.560
with zero audio animatronics but very
0:14:36.880,0:14:40.720
similar to the tron ride
0:14:38.560,0:14:42.839
um and they have that open and that’ll
0:14:40.720,0:14:46.320
be opening uh this summer
0:14:42.839,0:14:48.320
so you know why
0:14:46.320,0:14:49.600
you know are things being you know
0:14:48.320,0:14:51.040
delayed so much
0:14:49.600,0:14:52.880
the other thing that it was talking
0:14:51.040,0:14:55.519
about was that in the commercial
0:14:52.880,0:14:57.120
there’s no nostalgia about the 50th
0:14:55.519,0:14:58.560
anniversary
0:14:57.120,0:15:00.800
the biggest thing that they kind of do
0:14:58.560,0:15:04.240
is they kind of have like easter eggs
0:15:00.800,0:15:06.000
of 16 different hidden movie references
0:15:04.240,0:15:08.399
in the commercial and it’s like well
0:15:06.000,0:15:10.800
it’s not the 50th anniversary of
0:15:08.399,0:15:12.240
disney movies it’s the anniversary of
0:15:10.800,0:15:15.760
the theme park
0:15:12.240,0:15:18.639
why not show some nostalgia about
0:15:15.760,0:15:20.240
the park especially when you have people
0:15:18.639,0:15:21.760
that are still alive
0:15:20.240,0:15:23.600
that went to the park when it first
0:15:21.760,0:15:26.320
opened um you know
0:15:23.600,0:15:28.079
it’s not such a long period of time
0:15:26.320,0:15:28.959
where you you don’t have those people
0:15:28.079,0:15:31.279
that could
0:15:28.959,0:15:32.399
add to it um the article also talks
0:15:31.279,0:15:36.240
about how
0:15:32.399,0:15:38.639
um you know for other um
0:15:36.240,0:15:40.160
uh different things when they did the
0:15:38.639,0:15:43.360
25th anniversary
0:15:40.160,0:15:45.759
a lot of the um commercials
0:15:43.360,0:15:47.600
tugged at your heartstrings more about
0:15:45.759,0:15:49.600
the magic of it all
0:15:47.600,0:15:50.800
and it was just kind of like oh yeah
0:15:49.600,0:15:54.000
50th anniversary
0:15:50.800,0:15:57.600
yeah well it almost sounds like
0:15:54.000,0:16:00.399
that the management was caught off guard
0:15:57.600,0:16:01.199
and that could totally like oh my god
0:16:00.399,0:16:02.320
you know
0:16:01.199,0:16:04.240
we didn’t know if we were going to be
0:16:02.320,0:16:05.519
open for this so we didn’t put the
0:16:04.240,0:16:07.920
effort into it
0:16:05.519,0:16:09.519
uh disney is under you know the head of
0:16:07.920,0:16:12.079
this of disney is
0:16:09.519,0:16:13.360
under new management right it could just
0:16:12.079,0:16:15.920
be
0:16:13.360,0:16:16.720
that style of management that they have
0:16:15.920,0:16:20.160
true
0:16:16.720,0:16:22.480
um disney’s not 100 back either right
0:16:20.160,0:16:23.680
so it might be that they didn’t want to
0:16:22.480,0:16:25.040
play it up because it’s still a
0:16:23.680,0:16:27.199
diminished experience
0:16:25.040,0:16:28.320
true and they haven’t you know reduced
0:16:27.199,0:16:29.839
prices
0:16:28.320,0:16:31.440
right so there’s a lot of factors i
0:16:29.839,0:16:32.560
think that got away right none of them
0:16:31.440,0:16:34.959
excuse it
0:16:32.560,0:16:36.880
right you know this is usually this is
0:16:34.959,0:16:37.759
one of those things that disney excels
0:16:36.880,0:16:39.600
at
0:16:37.759,0:16:41.839
oh absolutely and that’s the thing is
0:16:39.600,0:16:43.759
you can go back in in disney’s history
0:16:41.839,0:16:45.920
you can just do a google search
0:16:43.759,0:16:47.680
you know or a youtube search of you know
0:16:45.920,0:16:50.800
disney commercials
0:16:47.680,0:16:52.959
and one nice thing though is they didn’t
0:16:50.800,0:16:53.759
uglify the castle yet that’s true they
0:16:52.959,0:16:56.639
made it
0:16:53.759,0:16:58.160
prettier they they spruced it up usually
0:16:56.639,0:17:00.880
when they do these celebrations
0:16:58.160,0:17:04.959
they make the castle look terrible stop
0:17:00.880,0:17:07.600
the 25th anniversary okay
0:17:04.959,0:17:08.480
it was ugly but there are still a lot of
0:17:07.600,0:17:11.520
people
0:17:08.480,0:17:14.799
that you know it wasn’t so bad for okay
0:17:11.520,0:17:17.039
big giant pepto-bismol cake but anyway
0:17:14.799,0:17:19.360
but you know the good thing is it’s
0:17:17.039,0:17:22.880
still 120 something days
0:17:19.360,0:17:24.480
away till october 1st so maybe
0:17:22.880,0:17:26.079
maybe they have time to do it right you
0:17:24.480,0:17:29.600
know maybe this was kind of the
0:17:26.079,0:17:32.000
teaser usually the celebration
0:17:29.600,0:17:32.640
it’s possible they’ve got so many things
0:17:32.000,0:17:35.919
going on
0:17:32.640,0:17:37.840
right now that they just didn’t plan
0:17:35.919,0:17:39.520
properly right and the other thing too
0:17:37.840,0:17:42.320
is the celebration
0:17:39.520,0:17:42.880
goes on for usually a year and two
0:17:42.320,0:17:45.520
months
0:17:42.880,0:17:46.240
you know so even though the 50th
0:17:45.520,0:17:51.360
anniversary
0:17:46.240,0:17:53.679
will be october 1st maybe by 2022
0:17:51.360,0:17:57.200
some of these other things will we’ll
0:17:53.679,0:18:00.640
still be in the virtual cube by then
0:17:57.200,0:18:01.360
you’re still open yeah so yeah all right
0:18:00.640,0:18:03.440
you know so
0:18:01.360,0:18:04.720
yeah we’ll see if they if they pull this
0:18:03.440,0:18:07.600
one out and and
0:18:04.720,0:18:08.720
actually do it right for the fans yeah i
0:18:07.600,0:18:10.400
i
0:18:08.720,0:18:12.080
to me it doesn’t matter one way or the
0:18:10.400,0:18:13.760
other like i don’t i’m not going down
0:18:12.080,0:18:15.679
there for the celebration if
0:18:13.760,0:18:17.440
i’m going down there it’s because you’re
0:18:15.679,0:18:19.679
dragging me down
0:18:17.440,0:18:21.440
and you know i’m just sort of there for
0:18:19.679,0:18:23.520
the ride but
0:18:21.440,0:18:25.600
you know die hard fans like you deserve
0:18:23.520,0:18:27.760
to have a proper celebration for it
0:18:25.600,0:18:29.440
and there’s tons of die hard disney fans
0:18:27.760,0:18:31.039
out there that deserve it
0:18:29.440,0:18:33.840
and when i say deserve it i mean because
0:18:31.039,0:18:35.360
you spend ridiculous amounts of money on
0:18:33.840,0:18:37.520
the company that they need to pay you
0:18:35.360,0:18:40.480
back somehow
0:18:37.520,0:18:42.559
so don’t worry for your 50th we’re gonna
0:18:40.480,0:18:44.240
make it a big one
0:18:42.559,0:18:46.559
why what are we doing i don’t know yet i
0:18:44.240,0:18:48.960
haven’t figured that out
0:18:46.559,0:18:50.000
well why for your 40th we did a big one
0:18:48.960,0:18:51.919
though true
0:18:50.000,0:18:54.880
true we did i gotta top that for your
0:18:51.919,0:18:57.520
50s disneyland paris
0:18:54.880,0:18:58.640
yeah don’t don’t set your hopes too high
0:18:57.520,0:19:00.880
on that
0:18:58.640,0:19:03.039
so we’ll see but that was all we have
0:19:00.880,0:19:05.360
for our disney detective we’ll be
0:19:03.039,0:19:10.130
right back with our tales from the edge
0:19:05.360,0:19:13.229

go for tails for the edge of the galaxy
0:20:24.400,0:20:30.159
not the edge of your insanity
0:20:27.679,0:20:31.440
so oftentimes when we hear about studio
0:20:30.159,0:20:34.240
notes and memos
0:20:31.440,0:20:36.320
for classic films you know such as back
0:20:34.240,0:20:38.799
to the future or blade runner
0:20:36.320,0:20:40.799
um you know it’s because the people that
0:20:38.799,0:20:43.039
were involved with the production
0:20:40.799,0:20:45.360
or released didn’t think that the movie
0:20:43.039,0:20:48.559
would actually be such a success
0:20:45.360,0:20:51.360
um or they believed in it so you know
0:20:48.559,0:20:52.480
obviously that’s kind of the case for
0:20:51.360,0:20:55.440
star wars
0:20:52.480,0:20:55.919
uh so some memos that actually were just
0:20:55.440,0:20:59.200
kind of
0:20:55.919,0:21:02.000
released to to twitter uh just last week
0:20:59.200,0:21:03.039
uh from 20th century fox had surfaced
0:21:02.000,0:21:06.960
online
0:21:03.039,0:21:10.400
and what was kind of interesting was
0:21:06.960,0:21:15.039
how positive they were about the movie
0:21:10.400,0:21:16.320
um so the author and documentarian
0:21:15.039,0:21:18.640
who i’m not even going to try and
0:21:16.320,0:21:22.320
pronounce his name because i’ll probably
0:21:18.640,0:21:25.840
totally you want to try
0:21:22.320,0:21:29.039
charles d lazarika
0:21:25.840,0:21:31.200
sure he had posted the images which
0:21:29.039,0:21:34.320
included some choice expert
0:21:31.200,0:21:37.919
excerpts by 20th century fox vp
0:21:34.320,0:21:41.919
of domestic distribution peter s myers
0:21:37.919,0:21:42.559
that said uh quote alan ladd jr saw a
0:21:41.919,0:21:45.440
rough
0:21:42.559,0:21:46.799
uh ensemblage without music special
0:21:45.440,0:21:49.360
effects are dubbing
0:21:46.799,0:21:50.640
and as conservative as he is he just
0:21:49.360,0:21:53.039
flipped claiming
0:21:50.640,0:21:53.840
that it is the best picture he has ever
0:21:53.039,0:21:56.480
seen
0:21:53.840,0:21:57.440
they claim the picture has a look never
0:21:56.480,0:22:00.159
seen on
0:21:57.440,0:22:01.200
the screen before and that it is so
0:22:00.159,0:22:04.400
believable you
0:22:01.200,0:22:06.960
feel like it is other than the present
0:22:04.400,0:22:08.880
even though the location and equipment
0:22:06.960,0:22:12.640
are space in the year
0:22:08.880,0:22:16.240
2000 i think that’s kind of funny
0:22:12.640,0:22:17.280
uh oh sorry 2000 plus he goes i’m saying
0:22:16.240,0:22:20.320
this picture
0:22:17.280,0:22:22.400
should be better uh should get a better
0:22:20.320,0:22:26.000
treatment than the godfather
0:22:22.400,0:22:29.200
king kong jaws the poseidon adventure
0:22:26.000,0:22:30.000
or towering inferno so the memos were
0:22:29.200,0:22:33.360
actually
0:22:30.000,0:22:35.840
previously published which now have been
0:22:33.360,0:22:39.679
deleted on starwars.com
0:22:35.840,0:22:42.400
um so george lucas obviously we know is
0:22:39.679,0:22:42.400
no longer
0:22:44.799,0:22:49.760
linked with uh the franchise uh or with
0:22:47.840,0:22:50.080
lucasfilms because he obviously sold it
0:22:49.760,0:22:53.520
to
0:22:50.080,0:22:56.640
disney in uh 2012. um
0:22:53.520,0:22:58.080
but you know what’s kind of been nice is
0:22:56.640,0:23:00.080
that he’s still kind of been a little
0:22:58.080,0:23:01.120
bit active and one of the things we saw
0:23:00.080,0:23:03.360
was during
0:23:01.120,0:23:04.720
the mandalorian he was there a couple of
0:23:03.360,0:23:06.640
the days while filming
0:23:04.720,0:23:08.960
and one of the things that john favreau
0:23:06.640,0:23:11.360
has said is that he would be giving dave
0:23:08.960,0:23:12.000
a hard time about how many setups he was
0:23:11.360,0:23:14.640
getting
0:23:12.000,0:23:16.720
and how fast he was shooting and arguing
0:23:14.640,0:23:19.520
uh him to go faster
0:23:16.720,0:23:20.320
he said he was like a boxers cornerman
0:23:19.520,0:23:22.640
coaching him
0:23:20.320,0:23:24.000
but always with a twinkle in his eye so
0:23:22.640,0:23:26.320
it’s nice to see that
0:23:24.000,0:23:28.080
he’s still looking out for it but it was
0:23:26.320,0:23:31.600
kind of interesting to
0:23:28.080,0:23:34.240
to see that even back in 19 you know the
0:23:31.600,0:23:36.720
early 1970s before the movie
0:23:34.240,0:23:37.600
came out they thought it was gonna be a
0:23:36.720,0:23:40.480
hit
0:23:37.600,0:23:41.760
well and it’s funny because they kept
0:23:40.480,0:23:44.159
slashing the budget
0:23:41.760,0:23:45.840
right so it was going to be a hit from
0:23:44.159,0:23:47.760
these early treatments that they saw on
0:23:45.840,0:23:49.039
the fact that there’s a 2000 plus but we
0:23:47.760,0:23:50.720
all know it’s not
0:23:49.039,0:23:52.159
right because it’s in a gala it’s a long
0:23:50.720,0:23:55.600
time ago
0:23:52.159,0:23:59.120
in a galaxy far far away
0:23:55.600,0:24:02.640
right um but you know what they describe
0:23:59.120,0:24:06.159
is really that unique feel
0:24:02.640,0:24:06.960
of star wars where it’s a lived-in
0:24:06.159,0:24:08.880
universe
0:24:06.960,0:24:10.720
you don’t you didn’t find that anywhere
0:24:08.880,0:24:12.400
else everywhere else that you saw
0:24:10.720,0:24:15.520
something that was
0:24:12.400,0:24:16.320
space or futuristic or something like
0:24:15.520,0:24:18.720
that
0:24:16.320,0:24:19.760
it was always this pristine clean
0:24:18.720,0:24:23.919
environment
0:24:19.760,0:24:25.520
and everyone was properly dressed and
0:24:23.919,0:24:27.679
but you didn’t get that what you got
0:24:25.520,0:24:28.880
when you saw star wars was the old west
0:24:27.679,0:24:32.000
in space
0:24:28.880,0:24:35.360
yeah it was it was that and
0:24:32.000,0:24:37.600
and that grittiness that run down
0:24:35.360,0:24:38.480
look the millennium falcon right you
0:24:37.600,0:24:40.799
know
0:24:38.480,0:24:42.159
looks like a hunk of junk hunk of junk
0:24:40.799,0:24:45.279
right yeah
0:24:42.159,0:24:46.960
but it makes it look realistic right and
0:24:45.279,0:24:49.039
that was something that lucas at the
0:24:46.960,0:24:50.960
time really tried to go for for the
0:24:49.039,0:24:54.080
authenticity because you remember
0:24:50.960,0:24:57.039
prior to this you had american graffiti
0:24:54.080,0:24:58.880
you had thx which was a futuristic thing
0:24:57.039,0:25:00.960
that was pristine so
0:24:58.880,0:25:02.799
he had kind of touched on some of these
0:25:00.960,0:25:04.400
genres already as he started to pull all
0:25:02.799,0:25:07.600
this stuff together well not american
0:25:04.400,0:25:09.760
graffiti that was said in like the 1950s
0:25:07.600,0:25:10.640
no i’m saying that right right that’s
0:25:09.760,0:25:13.200
what he was known
0:25:10.640,0:25:13.760
for right he hadn’t done anything right
0:25:13.200,0:25:16.960
this was
0:25:13.760,0:25:18.880
a new ferrari for him right now so when
0:25:16.960,0:25:19.600
he came into this and it was such a
0:25:18.880,0:25:23.120
unique
0:25:19.600,0:25:26.159
look to it for a futuristic space opera
0:25:23.120,0:25:29.120
right you know that opening scene alone
0:25:26.159,0:25:31.760
you know just the ships flying overhead
0:25:29.120,0:25:33.600
you know you get you get the the tantav4
0:25:31.760,0:25:34.640
flying overhead and it’s like wow that’s
0:25:33.600,0:25:36.960
cool
0:25:34.640,0:25:38.240
and then you get the star destroyer and
0:25:36.960,0:25:42.000
it’s flying over
0:25:38.240,0:25:44.400
and it’s flying and flying and
0:25:42.000,0:25:46.320
right you know it was that was the kind
0:25:44.400,0:25:48.240
of presence this the crawl
0:25:46.320,0:25:50.159
you know the title crawl that comes up
0:25:48.240,0:25:53.760
where you don’t get your regular
0:25:50.159,0:25:55.279
credits you know it was so revolutionary
0:25:53.760,0:25:57.840
at the time
0:25:55.279,0:25:59.919
that nobody had seen anything like it
0:25:57.840,0:26:01.760
right that score my god you couldn’t
0:25:59.919,0:26:04.880
come up with a better score
0:26:01.760,0:26:06.960
just to start the pace of the movie um
0:26:04.880,0:26:08.640
it just he was firing on also and and
0:26:06.960,0:26:10.720
they didn’t even see any of that stuff
0:26:08.640,0:26:12.960
here right because none of that was in
0:26:10.720,0:26:13.919
right those treatments they got to see
0:26:12.960,0:26:17.200
some of the shots
0:26:13.919,0:26:19.919
of you know the the cantina or
0:26:17.200,0:26:22.400
luke’s house or you know the millennium
0:26:19.919,0:26:25.120
felt like they saw just the raw footage
0:26:22.400,0:26:25.520
right and could get that feel everything
0:26:25.120,0:26:28.320
else for
0:26:25.520,0:26:30.080
after that was just icing on the cake so
0:26:28.320,0:26:33.200
very cool very cool to see that that
0:26:30.080,0:26:36.480
insider stuff sort of surfaced like that
0:26:33.200,0:26:38.720
so there’s a rumor yeah so
0:26:36.480,0:26:39.840
this you know was coming out so
0:26:38.720,0:26:42.240
obviously
0:26:39.840,0:26:43.039
you know george lucas sold his space
0:26:42.240,0:26:45.440
opera
0:26:43.039,0:26:47.039
franchise to the walt disney company as
0:26:45.440,0:26:49.919
i said in 2012
0:26:47.039,0:26:51.600
star wars fans weren’t sure exactly what
0:26:49.919,0:26:52.559
was going to happen to their beloved
0:26:51.600,0:26:55.360
characters
0:26:52.559,0:26:56.080
uh like luke skywalker and princess leia
0:26:55.360,0:26:57.919
they were just gonna
0:26:56.080,0:26:59.279
pointlessly kill him off oh
0:26:57.919,0:27:02.159
unfortunately yeah so
0:26:59.279,0:27:03.120
obviously disney star wars sequel
0:27:02.159,0:27:06.400
trilogies
0:27:03.120,0:27:09.120
proved to kind of not suck
0:27:06.400,0:27:11.919
okay i wasn’t gonna say it um left
0:27:09.120,0:27:15.120
moviegoers unhappy
0:27:11.919,0:27:17.600
um you know with the original core trio
0:27:15.120,0:27:18.880
and the general lack of direction of the
0:27:17.600,0:27:22.240
three films
0:27:18.880,0:27:23.440
so lucas had publicly acknowledged that
0:27:22.240,0:27:26.480
he expected to have
0:27:23.440,0:27:27.919
more say in the star wars sequels which
0:27:26.480,0:27:30.880
were directed by jj
0:27:27.919,0:27:33.520
abrams your best friend ryan johnson and
0:27:30.880,0:27:35.440
then abrams again
0:27:33.520,0:27:36.799
and also in the development of the new
0:27:35.440,0:27:39.919
characters like rey
0:27:36.799,0:27:41.440
finn and poe so lucas sounds like he
0:27:39.919,0:27:43.600
just cursed me out in some foreign
0:27:41.440,0:27:46.640
language
0:27:43.600,0:27:47.600
raven po that’s kind of funny it’s going
0:27:46.640,0:27:50.159
to be like our new
0:27:47.600,0:27:52.159
family curse or something uh so lucas
0:27:50.159,0:27:55.520
has also shared that he
0:27:52.159,0:27:56.640
had already began writing his own sequel
0:27:55.520,0:27:58.480
trilogy
0:27:56.640,0:28:00.320
in which princess leia would have
0:27:58.480,0:28:01.919
emerged as the chosen one
0:28:00.320,0:28:04.159
and would have had darth maul’s
0:28:01.919,0:28:07.360
apprentice darth talon
0:28:04.159,0:28:08.399
as the villain so in recent years rumors
0:28:07.360,0:28:10.399
of lucas’s
0:28:08.399,0:28:13.200
official return to the star wars
0:28:10.399,0:28:15.760
universe has been swirling around online
0:28:13.200,0:28:17.440
and these obviously intensified after he
0:28:15.760,0:28:20.240
was seen on the set
0:28:17.440,0:28:22.000
of the mandalorian with john favreau and
0:28:20.240,0:28:25.679
dave filoni
0:28:22.000,0:28:28.480
and and actually according to imdb
0:28:25.679,0:28:29.600
his name was included in the writing
0:28:28.480,0:28:33.440
credits
0:28:29.600,0:28:37.440
for the rogue one prequel show
0:28:33.440,0:28:40.720
and or which i didn’t realize so
0:28:37.440,0:28:41.919
now it’s kind of like hmm is he coming
0:28:40.720,0:28:44.880
back is he gonna
0:28:41.919,0:28:47.919
try and take over some control from you
0:28:44.880,0:28:50.399
know kathleen kennedy which of course
0:28:47.919,0:28:52.159
that’s been a swirling rumor that’s been
0:28:50.399,0:28:53.919
going on for ages that they’ve been
0:28:52.159,0:28:55.679
trying to oust her
0:28:53.919,0:28:58.000
so is it something where you know he’s
0:28:55.679,0:29:01.039
gonna come back is he consulting
0:28:58.000,0:29:03.919
or whatever obviously this is
0:29:01.039,0:29:04.880
all rumors there’s nothing that’s been
0:29:03.919,0:29:08.559
um
0:29:04.880,0:29:11.679
you know confirmed by the disney
0:29:08.559,0:29:15.039
company or lucasfilms um
0:29:11.679,0:29:16.000
you know obviously one of the last
0:29:15.039,0:29:18.080
things
0:29:16.000,0:29:20.000
bob chepick had recently announced that
0:29:18.080,0:29:21.279
kennedy’s tenure with disney would
0:29:20.000,0:29:24.799
continue
0:29:21.279,0:29:27.840
for the foreseeable future so you know
0:29:24.799,0:29:32.080
she’s not going anywhere anytime soon
0:29:27.840,0:29:34.320
but who’s to say you know something else
0:29:32.080,0:29:36.159
might not happen you know obviously we
0:29:34.320,0:29:38.000
know that there are a bunch of different
0:29:36.159,0:29:39.360
you know star wars shows that are in
0:29:38.000,0:29:41.279
development obviously
0:29:39.360,0:29:43.120
we talked last week that the one wasn’t
0:29:41.279,0:29:44.559
going to be going forward the rangers
0:29:43.120,0:29:47.440
won
0:29:44.559,0:29:49.200
but that patty jenkins star wars rogue
0:29:47.440,0:29:51.520
squadron
0:29:49.200,0:29:52.480
is set for 2023 and that’s supposed to
0:29:51.520,0:29:56.000
be the next
0:29:52.480,0:29:57.760
movie installment in the story so
0:29:56.000,0:29:59.440
you know obviously there’s a whole bunch
0:29:57.760,0:30:01.360
of other things going on
0:29:59.440,0:30:03.520
you have ryan johnson who’s supposed to
0:30:01.360,0:30:06.559
be doing stop just don’t even mention
0:30:03.520,0:30:08.399
it don’t even mention that
0:30:06.559,0:30:10.320
that trilogy by that guy that you don’t
0:30:08.399,0:30:12.159
like and then of course
0:30:10.320,0:30:15.360
you know you feel the vile already
0:30:12.159,0:30:18.480
backing up as soon as i hear his name
0:30:15.360,0:30:22.399
and then taika watiti is supposed to be
0:30:18.480,0:30:23.840
scouting some locations so so this image
0:30:22.399,0:30:24.159
here unfortunately i’m having trouble
0:30:23.840,0:30:26.559
with
0:30:24.159,0:30:27.600
with the the full screen shot so okay
0:30:26.559,0:30:30.399
we’ll have to kind of
0:30:27.600,0:30:32.640
walk folks through it sure but you have
0:30:30.399,0:30:34.880
kathleen kennedy on the stage here
0:30:32.640,0:30:36.000
and there’s a backdrop that has all of
0:30:34.880,0:30:39.360
the various
0:30:36.000,0:30:41.679
projects that she’s introducing
0:30:39.360,0:30:42.640
at this convention or this this right
0:30:41.679,0:30:45.600
that was the
0:30:42.640,0:30:46.000
investor’s day and you’ve got what 1 2 3
0:30:45.600,0:30:49.440
4
0:30:46.000,0:30:53.760
5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13
0:30:49.440,0:30:56.960
14 projects okay that’s a problem
0:30:53.760,0:30:58.080
right 14 projects one of which we know
0:30:56.960,0:31:00.480
is not happening anymore
0:30:58.080,0:31:02.320
right right that’s a management problem
0:31:00.480,0:31:03.840
is what that is
0:31:02.320,0:31:05.679
because at that point in time you’re
0:31:03.840,0:31:07.919
totally and of those
0:31:05.679,0:31:08.960
but not all of them are star wars though
0:31:07.919,0:31:10.720
two of them aren’t star
0:31:08.960,0:31:12.000
three aren’t star wars three aren’t
0:31:10.720,0:31:15.039
stars so of
0:31:12.000,0:31:15.919
14 projects you have 11 star wars
0:31:15.039,0:31:18.880
projects
0:31:15.919,0:31:20.080
yeah can we say saturating them and
0:31:18.880,0:31:22.320
that’s what we’ve
0:31:20.080,0:31:23.200
talked about and time and time again is
0:31:22.320,0:31:24.799
that but it’s
0:31:23.200,0:31:26.320
the problem is they tried it already
0:31:24.799,0:31:28.399
with the movies and right
0:31:26.320,0:31:29.840
they got slapped down for it so why
0:31:28.399,0:31:31.760
would they think that doing it through
0:31:29.840,0:31:34.480
disney plus is any better yeah
0:31:31.760,0:31:34.799
well that’s the other thing too is is it
0:31:34.480,0:31:37.120
well
0:31:34.799,0:31:38.799
rangers of the new republic that that
0:31:37.120,0:31:41.679
was supposed to be live action
0:31:38.799,0:31:42.880
yes okay well that’s dead um bad batch
0:31:41.679,0:31:46.559
we know was
0:31:42.880,0:31:48.960
is anime animated obi-wan is live action
0:31:46.559,0:31:50.799
and erwin live-action rogue squadron was
0:31:48.960,0:31:51.919
supposed to be live-action okay well the
0:31:50.799,0:31:54.640
mandalorian is
0:31:51.919,0:31:56.000
a continuation so that really was live
0:31:54.640,0:31:56.960
action orlando was supposed to be
0:31:56.000,0:31:59.120
live-action okay
0:31:56.960,0:32:00.640
droid story was that supposed to be i
0:31:59.120,0:32:03.519
can’t imagine i think
0:32:00.640,0:32:04.960
that’s probably animated yeah so i don’t
0:32:03.519,0:32:08.159
know i could see
0:32:04.960,0:32:11.679
doing the hey we’re making the
0:32:08.159,0:32:15.120
kids stuff we’re making it’s star wars
0:32:11.679,0:32:17.279
it’s all kids stuff
0:32:15.120,0:32:18.880
it’s always been about the kids that’s
0:32:17.279,0:32:19.440
one thing george lucas will tell you
0:32:18.880,0:32:21.760
right
0:32:19.440,0:32:23.679
right so this is the problem that i have
0:32:21.760,0:32:26.720
with kathleen kennedy yes
0:32:23.679,0:32:28.640
she has this shotgun approach
0:32:26.720,0:32:30.000
let’s throw all the spaghetti at the
0:32:28.640,0:32:32.080
wall and see what sticks
0:32:30.000,0:32:33.519
oh we’ve we’ve got 50 pieces we’re
0:32:32.080,0:32:35.360
throwing two pieces stick
0:32:33.519,0:32:37.200
okay let’s let the rest fall by the
0:32:35.360,0:32:40.159
wayside and you can’t
0:32:37.200,0:32:42.399
do it like that not star wars because
0:32:40.159,0:32:44.399
all the other stuff that doesn’t work
0:32:42.399,0:32:45.760
doesn’t just like fall by the wayside
0:32:44.399,0:32:48.720
and get ignored
0:32:45.760,0:32:50.399
you’re ruining the universe there’s a
0:32:48.720,0:32:52.960
very well craft well
0:32:50.399,0:32:55.360
it used to be well crafted there was a
0:32:52.960,0:32:58.480
very well crafted universe
0:32:55.360,0:33:00.240
that had some level of continuity and
0:32:58.480,0:33:01.679
when you keep throwing all these things
0:33:00.240,0:33:03.360
out there just because you’re looking
0:33:01.679,0:33:04.399
for the next mandalorian because you
0:33:03.360,0:33:07.039
want another hit
0:33:04.399,0:33:08.559
right you know and they don’t even have
0:33:07.039,0:33:10.480
uh book of boba on here
0:33:08.559,0:33:11.760
right we know that’s already confirmed
0:33:10.480,0:33:14.720
and in there so that’s
0:33:11.760,0:33:17.679
maybe that took the place of you know so
0:33:14.720,0:33:21.039
george lucas had the right idea
0:33:17.679,0:33:23.919
but pissed the fans off because lucas
0:33:21.039,0:33:25.039
always left you wanting more right we’ll
0:33:23.919,0:33:27.279
give you a little bit here
0:33:25.039,0:33:28.880
wait three years for the next one oh
0:33:27.279,0:33:29.440
here’s another one wait three years for
0:33:28.880,0:33:33.120
the next one
0:33:29.440,0:33:34.799
right i’m kind of done right now wait 15
0:33:33.120,0:33:37.440
years for the next one
0:33:34.799,0:33:38.000
all right that was agonizing true you
0:33:37.440,0:33:40.399
know but we
0:33:38.000,0:33:42.880
managed to get through it right we did
0:33:40.399,0:33:44.080
um but this whole idea of throwing so
0:33:42.880,0:33:44.960
many things out there at once is a
0:33:44.080,0:33:48.159
problem
0:33:44.960,0:33:49.360
i welcome lucas coming back in because
0:33:48.159,0:33:51.279
you can see his influence on the
0:33:49.360,0:33:54.159
mandalorian already
0:33:51.279,0:33:55.200
it looks like star wars it’s a hit yes
0:33:54.159,0:33:58.320
um
0:33:55.200,0:34:00.880
the only thing i ask is don’t for the
0:33:58.320,0:34:03.919
love of god don’t let him write love
0:34:00.880,0:34:06.399
scene dialogue that is
0:34:03.919,0:34:07.519
that is where he just falls flat on his
0:34:06.399,0:34:10.000
face there
0:34:07.519,0:34:11.200
let him do anything else he wants true
0:34:10.000,0:34:14.240
love
0:34:11.200,0:34:14.960
i cannot i cannot sit through another
0:34:14.240,0:34:18.399
padme
0:34:14.960,0:34:20.079
anakin love scene it’s just it’s like
0:34:18.399,0:34:21.520
fingernails on a blackboard the way he
0:34:20.079,0:34:23.520
writes those
0:34:21.520,0:34:25.119
so i don’t know maybe now that he’s
0:34:23.520,0:34:26.079
remarried and everything right maybe
0:34:25.119,0:34:28.560
that’s right love
0:34:26.079,0:34:30.000
better right maybe that was the problem
0:34:28.560,0:34:34.879
he couldn’t he wasn’t
0:34:30.000,0:34:37.280
in love right so anyway we’ll see
0:34:34.879,0:34:38.720
it would be interesting to get him back
0:34:37.280,0:34:40.399
um
0:34:38.720,0:34:41.839
i think he made a mistake selling it in
0:34:40.399,0:34:43.599
the first place i think
0:34:41.839,0:34:44.960
disney’s doing everything they can to
0:34:43.599,0:34:48.240
exploit it
0:34:44.960,0:34:49.760
and it shows right so but
0:34:48.240,0:34:51.599
had disney not done it you would have
0:34:49.760,0:34:53.599
never had
0:34:51.599,0:34:54.639
what you got down at the parks now
0:34:53.599,0:34:56.720
absolutely yeah
0:34:54.639,0:34:58.160
galaxies you would have been stuck with
0:34:56.720,0:35:01.359
star tours star tours and that’s
0:34:58.160,0:35:06.800
it so it’s a double-edged sword
0:35:01.359,0:35:06.800
yeah yeah with ryan johnson it’s just
0:35:07.760,0:35:11.599
it’s more than three edges with ryan
0:35:10.000,0:35:13.599
johnson and all of them are cut in at
0:35:11.599,0:35:16.720
the same time do we need a cursed jar
0:35:13.599,0:35:19.200
for that i’m holding it back as best as
0:35:16.720,0:35:21.839
i can but anytime his name is mentioned
0:35:19.200,0:35:22.400
i know it gets the blood pressure going
0:35:21.839,0:35:24.960
so
0:35:22.400,0:35:26.640
let me go get the cuff for you so that’s
0:35:24.960,0:35:28.320
all we have for our tails from the edge
0:35:26.640,0:35:31.839
of the galaxy we’ll be right back with

0:36:43.839,0:36:46.960
go for entertainment news ah i didn’t do
0:36:46.160,0:36:49.920
it
0:36:46.960,0:36:50.960
so it seems that one of our favorite
0:36:49.920,0:36:54.160
star wars
0:36:50.960,0:36:57.040
slash vampire slash
0:36:54.160,0:36:57.760
uh directors i don’t know what else is
0:36:57.040,0:36:59.839
he
0:36:57.760,0:37:01.040
you know i probably better stop calling
0:36:59.839,0:37:04.320
him names probably
0:37:01.040,0:37:06.079
uh taika watiti is reportedly been
0:37:04.320,0:37:09.599
reprimanded by disney
0:37:06.079,0:37:11.359
for some racy photos with tessa thompson
0:37:09.599,0:37:13.440
and it’s there were a bunch of different
0:37:11.359,0:37:15.440
articles too that talked about
0:37:13.440,0:37:16.640
tessa thompson kind of getting
0:37:15.440,0:37:19.920
reprimanded for
0:37:16.640,0:37:21.920
her racy photos as well so it seems that
0:37:19.920,0:37:22.800
you know obviously we know disney is
0:37:21.920,0:37:25.520
famous for
0:37:22.800,0:37:27.599
fiercely product protecting its
0:37:25.520,0:37:30.640
family-friendly reputation
0:37:27.599,0:37:32.400
which is why the studio has often had no
0:37:30.640,0:37:35.280
hesitation of letting go of
0:37:32.400,0:37:36.000
key talent who cause an unwanted stir
0:37:35.280,0:37:38.400
online
0:37:36.000,0:37:40.640
really should we tick down the number of
0:37:38.400,0:37:43.200
former child stars that are the least
0:37:40.640,0:37:43.839
bit family friendly today right but the
0:37:43.200,0:37:45.359
thing is
0:37:43.839,0:37:48.640
most of them don’t work for disney
0:37:45.359,0:37:50.160
anymore disney grooms them
0:37:48.640,0:37:52.720
to go into what they said so it seems
0:37:50.160,0:37:54.880
that the marvel director taika watiti
0:37:52.720,0:37:56.880
recently became the talk of twitter when
0:37:54.880,0:38:00.400
some paparazzi photos
0:37:56.880,0:38:01.040
depict depicting him in a romantic
0:38:00.400,0:38:04.400
moment
0:38:01.040,0:38:07.920
with both actress tessa thompson and
0:38:04.400,0:38:11.359
singer rita ora went viral
0:38:07.920,0:38:12.960
obviously this is his private life and
0:38:11.359,0:38:15.359
he’s just a victim of some
0:38:12.960,0:38:16.800
unwanted attention from the press but
0:38:15.359,0:38:19.280
this revelation about
0:38:16.800,0:38:20.240
what appears to be a polyamorous
0:38:19.280,0:38:22.560
relationship
0:38:20.240,0:38:24.400
between the three individuals has
0:38:22.560,0:38:25.920
nonetheless ruffled some feathers at
0:38:24.400,0:38:28.160
disney hq
0:38:25.920,0:38:29.760
so the daily telegraph of australia is
0:38:28.160,0:38:32.480
reporting that the studio has
0:38:29.760,0:38:33.760
reprimanded him over the racy photos
0:38:32.480,0:38:36.079
coming to light
0:38:33.760,0:38:38.079
specifics of the telling off that the
0:38:36.079,0:38:41.040
filmmaker received
0:38:38.079,0:38:42.800
from disney have yet to be revealed so
0:38:41.040,0:38:43.280
it’s unclear how much trouble he’s
0:38:42.800,0:38:46.079
actually
0:38:43.280,0:38:46.640
in however the outlet does note that
0:38:46.079,0:38:49.359
this is
0:38:46.640,0:38:50.720
not exactly the image that the studio is
0:38:49.359,0:38:52.720
looking to project
0:38:50.720,0:38:54.320
uh in relation to one of their biggest
0:38:52.720,0:38:56.320
franchises
0:38:54.320,0:38:58.560
the other thing is that execs were
0:38:56.320,0:39:01.680
always aware of
0:38:58.560,0:39:03.359
his party animal reputation
0:39:01.680,0:39:05.040
but they feel that this situation kind
0:39:03.359,0:39:08.079
of crossed the line
0:39:05.040,0:39:10.560
um the photos were actually taken
0:39:08.079,0:39:12.240
outside of his home in australia where
0:39:10.560,0:39:14.160
they’re filming where actually i think
0:39:12.240,0:39:18.480
they just finished wrapping uh
0:39:14.160,0:39:21.440
thor love and thunder um and
0:39:18.480,0:39:23.359
you know it seemed so obviously tessa
0:39:21.440,0:39:24.400
you know is reprising her role of
0:39:23.359,0:39:28.000
valkyrie
0:39:24.400,0:39:30.079
and it seems that aura um is either
0:39:28.000,0:39:31.040
believed to be involved with some
0:39:30.079,0:39:33.920
production
0:39:31.040,0:39:35.520
or a brief cameo in the movie and that’s
0:39:33.920,0:39:37.920
why she was there as well
0:39:35.520,0:39:39.920
so obviously we know he is one of the
0:39:37.920,0:39:41.200
most popular directors around at the
0:39:39.920,0:39:44.079
moment in terms of both
0:39:41.200,0:39:45.680
public appreciation and industry acclaim
0:39:44.079,0:39:47.280
so something tells us
0:39:45.680,0:39:50.000
you know that disney wants to kind of
0:39:47.280,0:39:52.400
keep him on board despite any problems
0:39:50.000,0:39:53.760
with that they might have with his
0:39:52.400,0:39:56.400
private relationships
0:39:53.760,0:39:58.160
being exposed like this but as always we
0:39:56.400,0:39:59.520
just kind of need to wait and see what
0:39:58.160,0:40:02.000
happens
0:39:59.520,0:40:02.640
so again this kind of goes back to the
0:40:02.000,0:40:04.800
stuff that we
0:40:02.640,0:40:06.160
talked about with with gina carano where
0:40:04.800,0:40:08.640
there’s there’s
0:40:06.160,0:40:09.760
morality clauses and stuff like that for
0:40:08.640,0:40:13.440
a company like disney
0:40:09.760,0:40:16.000
right i don’t know if this type of
0:40:13.440,0:40:16.480
thing would really be covered under that
0:40:16.000,0:40:20.079
yeah
0:40:16.480,0:40:23.599
it’s it’s kind of you know and the other
0:40:20.079,0:40:25.920
thing too is how much of it was
0:40:23.599,0:40:27.119
you know did they know oh we’re being
0:40:25.920,0:40:29.359
recorded
0:40:27.119,0:40:31.359
let’s kiss like that’s all they did
0:40:29.359,0:40:33.359
that’s literally
0:40:31.359,0:40:34.480
all they did that’s all you can see in
0:40:33.359,0:40:38.079
the photos
0:40:34.480,0:40:40.640
who’s to say it wasn’t just a friendly
0:40:38.079,0:40:42.560
pack where they made it out to be
0:40:40.640,0:40:43.520
something else because in the one
0:40:42.560,0:40:46.160
article
0:40:43.520,0:40:47.440
that talked about that was mainly
0:40:46.160,0:40:50.960
focused around
0:40:47.440,0:40:53.440
tessa thompson was talking about how
0:40:50.960,0:40:54.079
just earlier that day she was supposedly
0:40:53.440,0:40:56.960
kissing
0:40:54.079,0:40:59.119
her boyfriend or this guy that maybe
0:40:56.960,0:40:59.520
she’s seeing who happened to be on the
0:40:59.119,0:41:02.079
set
0:40:59.520,0:41:03.520
sure and then later on the day he or
0:41:02.079,0:41:06.640
she’s with
0:41:03.520,0:41:09.040
the other two and now there’s photos of
0:41:06.640,0:41:11.280
them all kissing so and that’s the thing
0:41:09.040,0:41:12.160
like a photo can very easily be taken
0:41:11.280,0:41:16.160
out of context
0:41:12.160,0:41:19.520
absolutely you know when you had the
0:41:16.160,0:41:21.839
history of tweets that gina carano had
0:41:19.520,0:41:23.760
there’s a pattern right that’s a
0:41:21.839,0:41:26.800
completely different thing and you’re
0:41:23.760,0:41:29.760
deliberately trying to put your
0:41:26.800,0:41:30.240
point of view out publicly at the right
0:41:29.760,0:41:34.000
point
0:41:30.240,0:41:36.000
you’re using your notoriety to do it
0:41:34.000,0:41:37.839
i don’t know under what context these
0:41:36.000,0:41:39.359
pictures were taking was he posing did
0:41:37.839,0:41:40.000
he know they were taking pictures was it
0:41:39.359,0:41:42.240
on purpose
0:41:40.000,0:41:43.839
did they know or was it something where
0:41:42.240,0:41:46.400
all right there’s paparazzi out there
0:41:43.839,0:41:46.960
ha ha let’s be you know let’s be cute
0:41:46.400,0:41:49.359
and he’s
0:41:46.960,0:41:51.119
always goofing off and joking around
0:41:49.359,0:41:52.480
stuff like that so i would have chalked
0:41:51.119,0:41:54.480
it up more to that than
0:41:52.480,0:41:55.520
anything else right and i’m not trying
0:41:54.480,0:41:57.280
to make excuses
0:41:55.520,0:42:00.000
oh absolutely if he violated his
0:41:57.280,0:42:02.079
morality contract and they have a reason
0:42:00.000,0:42:03.760
to reprimand him by all means go ahead
0:42:02.079,0:42:04.400
and do it if he’s not performing the way
0:42:03.760,0:42:06.560
that you want
0:42:04.400,0:42:07.760
right i just don’t know if this is one
0:42:06.560,0:42:10.880
of those things that you
0:42:07.760,0:42:11.200
can cover under morality right even if
0:42:10.880,0:42:14.319
you
0:42:11.200,0:42:16.480
did you got rid of you
0:42:14.319,0:42:18.400
well i don’t say got rid of but you
0:42:16.480,0:42:19.359
terminated your contract with one person
0:42:18.400,0:42:22.079
for expressing
0:42:19.359,0:42:23.760
hatred views right now you’re going to
0:42:22.079,0:42:28.400
reprimand somebody for expressing
0:42:23.760,0:42:31.680
love what like oh my god
0:42:28.400,0:42:34.560
the logic behind right right yeah so uh
0:42:31.680,0:42:35.599
i don’t know it’s it’s if anything good
0:42:34.560,0:42:37.680
for him
0:42:35.599,0:42:38.880
yeah yeah i think i think you’re blowing
0:42:37.680,0:42:42.240
things out of they’re blowing
0:42:38.880,0:42:43.760
out absolutely i i totally agree so
0:42:42.240,0:42:46.400
and you know i’m i’m probably going to
0:42:43.760,0:42:48.000
take heat for for being one-sided on
0:42:46.400,0:42:49.839
this but
0:42:48.000,0:42:51.119
it’s like a watty you know he’s awesome
0:42:49.839,0:42:52.720
right exactly and
0:42:51.119,0:42:54.480
and that’s the thing is you know he’s a
0:42:52.720,0:42:58.400
party guy yeah
0:42:54.480,0:42:59.920
you can tell that you know from
0:42:58.400,0:43:01.680
you know from seeing things that he’s
0:42:59.920,0:43:04.640
done but
0:43:01.680,0:43:05.359
right now between you know thor ragnarok
0:43:04.640,0:43:07.280
and
0:43:05.359,0:43:08.880
you know what he did on the mandalorian
0:43:07.280,0:43:11.920
yeah you have him
0:43:08.880,0:43:13.520
uh you know working on finishing up you
0:43:11.920,0:43:16.160
know the new thor
0:43:13.520,0:43:16.960
a star wars the most important thing
0:43:16.160,0:43:21.040
about taiko
0:43:16.960,0:43:23.680
iti is he’s not ryan johnson
0:43:21.040,0:43:24.319
he gets a pass for just about everything
0:43:23.680,0:43:26.640
just for that
0:43:24.319,0:43:28.319
do whatever you want just for that right
0:43:26.640,0:43:31.200
yeah so what’s our uh
0:43:28.319,0:43:32.800
our next uh uh yeah so this was kind of
0:43:31.200,0:43:36.319
some sad news so
0:43:32.800,0:43:36.720
uh actor gavin mcleod uh of the love
0:43:36.319,0:43:39.119
beau
0:43:36.720,0:43:40.720
and mary tyler moore had passed away at
0:43:39.119,0:43:42.480
age 90.
0:43:40.720,0:43:43.920
he was known for his roles on the mary
0:43:42.480,0:43:47.200
tyler moore show
0:43:43.920,0:43:51.040
love boat and he actually passed away on
0:43:47.200,0:43:54.400
saturday his nephew had reported to
0:43:51.040,0:43:55.280
variety his birth name was actually alan
0:43:54.400,0:43:57.760
c
0:43:55.280,0:43:59.200
um but in his memoir the cap your
0:43:57.760,0:44:01.760
captain is speaking
0:43:59.200,0:44:02.720
uh he wrote that he considered changing
0:44:01.760,0:44:05.040
his name
0:44:02.720,0:44:07.119
um because it was too confusing and
0:44:05.040,0:44:08.160
actually changed it to honor an acting
0:44:07.119,0:44:10.000
teacher
0:44:08.160,0:44:12.160
he also wrote that he had to deal with
0:44:10.000,0:44:13.200
premature hair loss going bald in
0:44:12.160,0:44:15.440
college
0:44:13.200,0:44:17.280
after a busy career of bit parts in
0:44:15.440,0:44:19.680
television and film
0:44:17.280,0:44:22.480
he first achieved fame as part of the
0:44:19.680,0:44:25.040
ensemble of the mary tyler moore show
0:44:22.480,0:44:26.560
a breakthrough sitcom excuse me in which
0:44:25.040,0:44:29.920
he played news writer
0:44:26.560,0:44:32.079
murray slaughter murray often served as
0:44:29.920,0:44:34.400
a confidante to moore’s character
0:44:32.079,0:44:35.520
rolling his eyes at the clueless anchor
0:44:34.400,0:44:38.079
ted baxter
0:44:35.520,0:44:39.040
and absorbed the fierce temper of the
0:44:38.079,0:44:42.880
news director
0:44:39.040,0:44:44.079
lou grant on twitter actor ed asner who
0:44:42.880,0:44:46.480
played grant
0:44:44.079,0:44:47.119
wrote my heart is broken gavin was my
0:44:46.480,0:44:49.839
brother
0:44:47.119,0:44:51.839
my partner in crime and food and my
0:44:49.839,0:44:54.720
comic conspirator
0:44:51.839,0:44:55.119
asner noted that mcleod’s death leaves
0:44:54.720,0:44:57.440
him
0:44:55.119,0:44:59.040
and betty white as the only two living
0:44:57.440,0:45:01.680
principal cast members
0:44:59.040,0:45:03.119
of the mary tyler moore show following
0:45:01.680,0:45:06.160
the end of that program
0:45:03.119,0:45:11.599
in 1977 he moved uh
0:45:06.160,0:45:11.599
into a starring role on the love boat
0:45:12.480,0:45:15.599
which if you don’t know what the love
0:45:14.400,0:45:18.480
bone is then
0:45:15.599,0:45:19.200
i i don’t know who you are you’re dead
0:45:18.480,0:45:22.720
to me
0:45:19.200,0:45:26.079
um he got top billing as your captain
0:45:22.720,0:45:27.200
uh the dedicated and friendly uh meryl
0:45:26.079,0:45:29.599
steubing
0:45:27.200,0:45:30.640
the boat pulled into port for its last
0:45:29.599,0:45:33.200
time after nine
0:45:30.640,0:45:35.359
seasons but he continued to embrace his
0:45:33.200,0:45:38.240
character making public appearances
0:45:35.359,0:45:40.000
in costume he also actually served as
0:45:38.240,0:45:42.400
ambassador for princess
0:45:40.000,0:45:45.760
cruises the company that provided the
0:45:42.400,0:45:47.599
ships that were used in the series
0:45:45.760,0:45:49.359
princess cruise line actually had said
0:45:47.599,0:45:51.920
all of us send our
0:45:49.359,0:45:52.720
heartfelt condolences to his entire
0:45:51.920,0:45:55.599
family
0:45:52.720,0:45:57.359
and offer our sincerest gratitude to
0:45:55.599,0:46:00.480
them for sharing gavin with
0:45:57.359,0:46:04.079
all of us for so many years
0:46:00.480,0:46:04.720
after loveboat he became an evangelical
0:46:04.079,0:46:07.200
christian
0:46:04.720,0:46:08.640
and he credited his faith with allowing
0:46:07.200,0:46:11.440
him to end his abusive
0:46:08.640,0:46:12.079
alcohol and reconciled with his wife
0:46:11.440,0:46:15.599
patty
0:46:12.079,0:46:17.599
whom he remarried in 1985. the cause of
0:46:15.599,0:46:20.720
death had not been released as of
0:46:17.599,0:46:22.160
saturday you know i he used to do bit
0:46:20.720,0:46:24.480
parts on hogan’s heroes
0:46:22.160,0:46:27.040
i’m a big fan of hogan’s heroes and that
0:46:24.480,0:46:30.160
was where my initial exposure to him
0:46:27.040,0:46:31.040
uh came from but everyone remembers him
0:46:30.160,0:46:33.200
from love boat
0:46:31.040,0:46:34.640
yeah you know that was really the role
0:46:33.200,0:46:36.800
that he made his
0:46:34.640,0:46:38.319
own work he got the lead there yeah and
0:46:36.800,0:46:39.839
it gave great references when next
0:46:38.319,0:46:41.520
generation came out they had a ball cap
0:46:39.839,0:46:42.880
under the enterprise that was referred
0:46:41.520,0:46:46.319
to as captain stevens
0:46:42.880,0:46:49.520
right right but he was a great actor
0:46:46.319,0:46:50.160
yeah it’s a shame but 90 years old great
0:46:49.520,0:46:53.119
career
0:46:50.160,0:46:54.000
not too shabby uh that that’s certainly
0:46:53.119,0:46:57.359
something to be
0:46:54.000,0:46:58.000
to be proud of so he he left his mark on
0:46:57.359,0:47:00.880
the world
0:46:58.000,0:47:02.640
and you can catch reruns of you know
0:47:00.880,0:47:04.240
love boat on me tv
0:47:02.640,0:47:06.160
and you know i’m sure there’s other uh
0:47:04.240,0:47:08.880
channels as well that are
0:47:06.160,0:47:11.040
absolutely showing it as well absolutely
0:47:08.880,0:47:15.839
so we’ll be right back
0:47:11.040,0:47:15.839
with our insightful picks of the week
0:47:17.800,0:47:22.319
[Applause]
0:47:19.920,0:47:24.000
go for your insightful pick so my
0:47:22.319,0:47:28.079
insightful pick this week
0:47:24.000,0:47:30.400
is the kaminsky method it’s uh
0:47:28.079,0:47:32.880
the premise of the show is acting coach
0:47:30.400,0:47:35.359
sandy kaminsky and his best friend
0:47:32.880,0:47:37.359
norman newlander keep each other
0:47:35.359,0:47:38.000
laughing as they navigate the ups and
0:47:37.359,0:47:40.400
downs of
0:47:38.000,0:47:42.559
getting older he may be in his twilight
0:47:40.400,0:47:44.640
years but the aging acting coach
0:47:42.559,0:47:45.599
isn’t ready to ride off into the sunset
0:47:44.640,0:47:47.599
just yet
0:47:45.599,0:47:48.960
the once famous kaminsky and his
0:47:47.599,0:47:51.359
longtime agent
0:47:48.960,0:47:53.440
and best friend norman nulander keep
0:47:51.359,0:47:56.000
each other laughing as they tackle the
0:47:53.440,0:47:58.160
curveballs that life has thrown at them
0:47:56.000,0:47:59.280
while navigating their later years in
0:47:58.160,0:48:02.319
los angeles
0:47:59.280,0:48:05.040
a city that values youth and beauty the
0:48:02.319,0:48:08.000
netflix original sitcom has a strong
0:48:05.040,0:48:08.800
hollywood pedigree it was created by
0:48:08.000,0:48:12.240
multiple
0:48:08.800,0:48:14.559
emmy winner chuck laurie and stars
0:48:12.240,0:48:16.559
oscar winners michael douglas and alan
0:48:14.559,0:48:20.240
arkin as kaminsky and
0:48:16.559,0:48:21.359
newlander so it’s a american
0:48:20.240,0:48:24.240
commadromedy
0:48:21.359,0:48:24.880
it’s streaming on netflix um there’s
0:48:24.240,0:48:28.400
actually
0:48:24.880,0:48:31.680
three seasons uh currently uh the first
0:48:28.400,0:48:35.359
season actually premiered in 2018
0:48:31.680,0:48:36.640
um then in january of 2019 it was
0:48:35.359,0:48:38.960
announced that it was going to be
0:48:36.640,0:48:41.359
renewed for a second season which
0:48:38.960,0:48:44.480
premiered in october of that year
0:48:41.359,0:48:46.160
and then last july it was renewed for a
0:48:44.480,0:48:48.880
third and final season
0:48:46.160,0:48:49.359
which just premiered uh at the end of
0:48:48.880,0:48:53.280
may
0:48:49.359,0:48:57.599
i am currently i think i just started
0:48:53.280,0:49:01.040
season two um and it’s kind of a quirky
0:48:57.599,0:49:03.599
funny um you know show
0:49:01.040,0:49:05.200
with these two you know main characters
0:49:03.599,0:49:08.559
going back and forth
0:49:05.200,0:49:09.520
um the you know his best friend his
0:49:08.559,0:49:12.720
agent
0:49:09.520,0:49:15.920
his wife passes away um
0:49:12.720,0:49:17.119
in like the first or second episode and
0:49:15.920,0:49:20.000
he kind of
0:49:17.119,0:49:20.559
still sees her and still talks to her
0:49:20.000,0:49:23.760
and
0:49:20.559,0:49:25.119
and she’s kind of still um you know a
0:49:23.760,0:49:28.000
main character i guess in
0:49:25.119,0:49:28.480
in some respects and you kind of you
0:49:28.000,0:49:30.800
know
0:49:28.480,0:49:32.079
go through the the back and forth of you
0:49:30.800,0:49:34.800
know their friendship
0:49:32.079,0:49:35.200
as they’re you know getting on in age so
0:49:34.800,0:49:37.200
um
0:49:35.200,0:49:38.480
you know has some funny moments has some
0:49:37.200,0:49:41.520
touching parts
0:49:38.480,0:49:43.359
uh you know uh as well and
0:49:41.520,0:49:45.599
you know and again you know michael
0:49:43.359,0:49:48.780
douglas and alan arkin so
0:49:45.599,0:49:52.880
can’t go wrong good pick thank you
0:49:48.780,0:49:56.800
[Applause]
0:49:52.880,0:49:58.000
so my pick this week is wwe’s most
0:49:56.800,0:50:02.559
wanted treasures
0:49:58.000,0:50:04.640

0:50:21.680,0:50:25.440

0:50:23.520,0:50:26.640

0:50:25.440,0:50:30.000
most elusive
0:50:26.640,0:50:32.960
wwe collectibles throughout history
0:50:30.000,0:50:35.040
wwe’s action-packed storylines
0:50:32.960,0:50:36.720
has spawned iconic one-of-a-kind
0:50:35.040,0:50:38.880

0:50:36.720,0:50:41.200
most of which have gone missing
0:50:38.880,0:50:43.200
superstar in training aj francis will
0:50:41.200,0:50:43.599
head out on the road alongside some of
0:50:43.200,0:50:47.760
the most
0:50:43.599,0:50:50.400
famous wwwe legends of all time
0:50:47.760,0:50:51.760
including the undertaker ric flair
0:50:50.400,0:50:55.200
charlotte flair
0:50:51.760,0:50:57.920
mcfoley kane big show mark henry
0:50:55.200,0:50:59.680
jerry the king lawler booker t greg the
0:50:57.920,0:51:02.000

0:50:59.680,0:51:03.119
brutus the barber beefcake jake the
0:51:02.000,0:51:05.760
snake roberts and
0:51:03.119,0:51:08.160
sergeant slaughter the series will
0:51:05.760,0:51:10.319
unearth these rare items in the hopes of
0:51:08.160,0:51:11.760
preserving and sharing the legacy behind
0:51:10.319,0:51:16.000
the memorable moments
0:51:11.760,0:51:16.800
in wwe history i was a total wrestling
0:51:16.000,0:51:19.920
geek
0:51:16.800,0:51:22.319
as a kid and before hulkamania
0:51:19.920,0:51:23.680
and the soap opera lines that have
0:51:22.319,0:51:26.960
developed since then
0:51:23.680,0:51:29.200
i knew wrestling as the wwf
0:51:26.960,0:51:30.960
back then it wasn’t the world wildlife
0:51:29.200,0:51:31.920
foundation it was the world wrestling
0:51:30.960,0:51:33.839
federation
0:51:31.920,0:51:35.520
right uh i used to go over my
0:51:33.839,0:51:37.920
grandparents house and watch it with my
0:51:35.520,0:51:40.240
granddad who was convinced it was 100
0:51:37.920,0:51:41.839
real you couldn’t tell him otherwise
0:51:40.240,0:51:43.359
uh the show brings back some of that
0:51:41.839,0:51:45.040
nostalgia for me
0:51:43.359,0:51:47.440
it’s less about the items although some
0:51:45.040,0:51:50.240
of the items they find are kind of cool
0:51:47.440,0:51:52.160
um but it’s more about the stories that
0:51:50.240,0:51:54.000
are conveyed by the wrestling legends
0:51:52.160,0:51:55.200
recruited to hunt down the merchandise
0:51:54.000,0:51:57.920
so they do
0:51:55.200,0:52:00.160
kind of interview segments as they’re
0:51:57.920,0:52:02.960
looking for things and trying to find
0:52:00.160,0:52:04.160
um contacts and stuff like that and
0:52:02.960,0:52:06.960
there are times where they
0:52:04.160,0:52:08.079
go to find it at a collector’s house
0:52:06.960,0:52:10.960
sometimes they’ll
0:52:08.079,0:52:12.079
pay a nominal fee for it sometimes it’s
0:52:10.960,0:52:14.400
given to them
0:52:12.079,0:52:16.559
sometimes it’s just a favor like there
0:52:14.400,0:52:18.800
was one instance where
0:52:16.559,0:52:19.839
one wrestling fan was a huge mick foley
0:52:18.800,0:52:22.400
fan
0:52:19.839,0:52:23.760
and the guy’s you know whole thing was
0:52:22.400,0:52:25.680
okay well
0:52:23.760,0:52:27.520
uh if i can bring my kids over and have
0:52:25.680,0:52:29.520
the kids just sit down and talk to you
0:52:27.520,0:52:32.400
for an hour you can have it
0:52:29.520,0:52:33.839
uh one was with jerry the king lawler
0:52:32.400,0:52:36.240
where the one fan
0:52:33.839,0:52:38.559
one he jerry the king waller is actually
0:52:36.240,0:52:40.400
a very talented artist
0:52:38.559,0:52:42.800
and he’s famous for doing these doodles
0:52:40.400,0:52:44.480
and and pictures and stuff
0:52:42.800,0:52:46.640
and that one of the deal was they would
0:52:44.480,0:52:49.280
get a certain amount of cash for it but
0:52:46.640,0:52:51.599
jerry would actually do a custom art
0:52:49.280,0:52:53.200
piece of artwork for him too
0:52:51.599,0:52:55.599
so it’s kind of neat seeing that and
0:52:53.200,0:52:58.480
seeing some of the other talents
0:52:55.599,0:52:58.880
seeing where some of these wrestlers are
0:52:58.480,0:53:02.480
from
0:52:58.880,0:53:04.319
from years ago so if you’ve ever been a
0:53:02.480,0:53:05.839
fan of professional wrestling the show’s
0:53:04.319,0:53:10.079
worth a watch
0:53:05.839,0:53:12.880
there’s a lot of history behind it so
0:53:10.079,0:53:13.599
wwe’s most wanted treasures airing
0:53:12.880,0:53:17.839
sundays
0:53:13.599,0:53:17.839
on a and e and we’ll be right back
0:53:19.080,0:53:24.640
[Applause]
0:53:21.359,0:53:26.960
so i think that’s it for today uh
0:53:24.640,0:53:28.720
a lot of stuff to talk about today we
0:53:26.960,0:53:31.200
even got the video in for the
0:53:28.720,0:53:33.440
rent fair wow look at us all before the
0:53:31.200,0:53:34.480

0:53:33.440,0:53:35.839
had something i don’t think we’ve got
0:53:34.480,0:53:37.040
anything planned for next week maybe
0:53:35.839,0:53:40.079
we’ll just make up something
0:53:37.040,0:53:42.559
we’ll just sure we’re going to
0:53:40.079,0:53:45.040
some sci-fi fest next week maybe we’ll
0:53:42.559,0:53:49.040
just go outside and take videos
0:53:45.040,0:53:49.040
sure lightning bugs or something
0:53:49.359,0:53:53.280
anyway uh before we go i do want to
