Insights Into Entertainment: Episode 78 “Journey Into Adulthood”

Disney Detective explores the possibility of famed Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter returning to help remake Journey Into Imagination with Figment. Disney+ will reportedly be moving some of it’s more mature content to the streaming service along with parental controls. And we’ll take a look at 12 unique items from Disney’s Secret Vault.

Tales from the Edge of the Galaxy will take a look at George Lucas’ reaction to the Mandalorian and how his faith in the franchise is once again restored. Entertainment News will look at NBC’s efforts to revitalize Broadway and Netflix just dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming season of “The Crown”.

Insights Into Entertainment: Episode 69 “The Happiest Place in the NBA”

It’s official, Disney saves the NBA season. Or at least some form of an NBA season that will be played out at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Florida. We also have an update on when Disneyland in California will reopen and the rules surrounding that reopening. And finally in Disney Detective we take a look at an update on our much anticipated Marvel shows WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Star Wars Insights take a walk down memory lane with a peak at how the original triology could have looked much different had different casting calls been made. Can you picture Al Pacino at Han Solo? Or William Katt as Luke Skywalker. It would certainly have been a very different movie. Then Jon Favreau gives us an update on Season 2 of the Mandalorian to get us through these dark times.

In Entertainment News we’ll take a look at Don Henley and his appeal to Congrats to change copyright law. As innocent as this may seem there could be far reaching consequences affecting every aspect of the internet, especially independent podcasters like us. We’ll watch the development of this story with great interest.

Insights Into Entertainment: Episode 47 “Nothing But Star Wars”

Returning from the holiday we give you a deep dive into our adventures at Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We look at the overall ambiance, the vendors, the rides and the completely immersive feeling of actually being on the planet Batuu. It’s one of the most unique experiences we’ve ever had in over twenty trips to Walt Disney World in Florida. We’ve got footage of the experience, interactions with cast, building a lightsaber at Savi’s workshop and much of the Rise of the Resistance ride.

In entertainment news we’ll recap what was an incredible season finale of the Mandalorian then give our impressions, though not our rant on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. A fitting end to the saga that could have been a little more polished for our liking. All in all another great podcast.
