After a few weeks of hiatus over the holiday’s we ease back into the swing of things with a little review of the holidays. We’ll discuss how we spent Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years and some of the fun activities we were able to do despite the lockdowns still being in place.
We’ll also talk a little about some of the work we did in the studio and some of the upgrades and changes we made. We get our geek on a bit talking about our new Dungeons and Dragons series that we’re doing offline and we’ll also talk about some of the fun new board games we played over the holiday break.
Finally we’ll take a look at the struggles we all had getting back into our regular routines after such a long break. Balancing our sleep schedules, ramping up efforts with school and work and just shaking off the general grogginess and cob webs of a long break.
We’ll end with a look ahead, our views on New Years Resolutions and both what we are looking forward to in the coming year and what we might have some concerns about in the near future. In all we’ve got a positive outlook for 2021 and we hope to get back into our regular swing of things and back on topic moving forward.

0:02:09.360,0:02:14.959
do something a little more laid back
0:02:11.840,0:02:16.319
uh no hard-hitting topics today yay so
0:02:14.959,0:02:19.280
we’re going to kind of take a look
0:02:16.319,0:02:20.080

0:02:20.080,0:02:23.840
we’re going to look at um
0:02:24.000,0:02:28.400
how the holidays were we’ll do some uh
0:02:26.879,0:02:31.519
talk about some highlights
0:02:28.400,0:02:33.760
of hanukkah christmas and new year’s
0:02:31.519,0:02:35.200
and we’ll talk about what we did over
0:02:33.760,0:02:38.239
the holidays some of the
0:02:35.200,0:02:40.080
interesting activities that we did and
0:02:38.239,0:02:42.000
then we’ll talk about
0:02:40.080,0:02:44.560
getting back into the routine some of
0:02:42.000,0:02:46.319
the things that we’ve all struggled with
0:02:44.560,0:02:47.599
and then we’ll uh we’ll have a little
0:02:46.319,0:02:50.239
look ahead segment
0:02:47.599,0:02:51.440
for the coming new year and see what’s
0:02:50.239,0:02:55.920

[Music]
0:03:54.080,0:04:01.840
now are we ready to get into it yes all
0:03:56.640,0:04:01.840
right here we go
0:04:02.400,0:04:06.400
so the first thing that i wanted to talk
0:04:04.000,0:04:10.000
about today was
0:04:06.400,0:04:13.680
how were the holidays so we celebrate
0:04:10.000,0:04:16.079
uh hanukkah yeah we celebrate christmas
0:04:13.680,0:04:17.040
and we kind of celebrate new year’s as
0:04:16.079,0:04:19.440
much as you can
0:04:17.040,0:04:20.079
yeah so why don’t you give us a recap of
0:04:19.440,0:04:22.160
hanukkah
0:04:20.079,0:04:23.360
how did it go did you get things that
0:04:22.160,0:04:26.880
you thought were
0:04:23.360,0:04:28.240
cool or fun were did we did we do all
0:04:26.880,0:04:30.720
the things that we normally do
0:04:28.240,0:04:31.759
give us your your your summary of
0:04:30.720,0:04:35.040
hanukkah
0:04:31.759,0:04:36.639
so hanukkah happened before christmas
0:04:35.040,0:04:40.240
and holiday break
0:04:36.639,0:04:42.479
um so i would say that we did do
0:04:40.240,0:04:43.600
the usual traditions of letting the
0:04:42.479,0:04:46.639
menorah
0:04:43.600,0:04:49.040
um singing the song uh
0:04:46.639,0:04:50.400
during what during the part where we
0:04:49.040,0:04:53.759
laid all three menorahs
0:04:50.400,0:04:57.040
and the whole switcheroo every night um
0:04:53.759,0:04:59.280
and the old menorah switcheroo
0:04:57.040,0:05:01.280
yeah that’s um when did we even start
0:04:59.280,0:05:03.039
that uh we’ve been doing it for a while
0:05:01.280,0:05:03.919
now we just have different menorahs that
0:05:03.039,0:05:07.280
we tend to use
0:05:03.919,0:05:09.280
yeah um and then
0:05:07.280,0:05:10.479
yes the ending where we all give each
0:05:09.280,0:05:12.400
other presents
0:05:10.479,0:05:14.080
so did you get anything you really liked
0:05:12.400,0:05:17.199
yes i did i got
0:05:14.080,0:05:18.000
quite a few things as well um one of
0:05:17.199,0:05:21.199
them
0:05:18.000,0:05:25.600
um was a double pack where one
0:05:21.199,0:05:26.160
was um a magic eight ball but it was the
0:05:25.600,0:05:28.960
world’s
0:05:26.160,0:05:30.240
tiniest magic eight ball and i kind of
0:05:28.960,0:05:33.120
used it just because
0:05:30.240,0:05:34.479
like okay so i want to see what the
0:05:33.120,0:05:36.639
future is like
0:05:34.479,0:05:38.080
cannot like i ask a yes or no you
0:05:36.639,0:05:39.919
basically ask a yes or no
0:05:38.080,0:05:42.080
question shake it and it gives you an
0:05:39.919,0:05:43.919
answer nice
0:05:42.080,0:05:46.240
yeah i got a i got a number of really
0:05:43.919,0:05:47.919
cool things for hanukkah too and it’s
0:05:46.240,0:05:49.600
it’s hard i’m the type of person if i
0:05:47.919,0:05:52.639
want something i just go out and get it
0:05:49.600,0:05:55.919
yeah and i and you know my main
0:05:52.639,0:05:56.960
interest is star wars so i have a lot of
0:05:55.919,0:06:00.080
star wars stuff
0:05:56.960,0:06:01.199
if you can tell from the uh decoration
0:06:00.080,0:06:03.440
in the studio
0:06:01.199,0:06:04.880
so mommy always has a problem finding
0:06:03.440,0:06:06.240
stuff and she did a great job and i
0:06:04.880,0:06:08.000
think the one that
0:06:06.240,0:06:09.840
that i like the most because i think i’m
0:06:08.000,0:06:11.039
getting the most use out of
0:06:09.840,0:06:12.560
and they don’t have it with me i would
0:06:11.039,0:06:13.120
have brought it up to show it off she
0:06:12.560,0:06:16.479
got me
0:06:13.120,0:06:20.400
a um a darth vader
0:06:16.479,0:06:22.639
uh holder for my apple earpod pros
0:06:20.400,0:06:24.080
and this thing because i always had
0:06:22.639,0:06:26.160
something in there so i could keep it on
0:06:24.080,0:06:29.039
my keychain but this one
0:06:26.160,0:06:30.960
is so thick that it’s like bulletproof
0:06:29.039,0:06:31.840
i’ve dropped them probably four or five
0:06:30.960,0:06:35.360
times now because
0:06:31.840,0:06:36.639
they’re all on my keys um but
0:06:35.360,0:06:39.440
it’s really cool and i’ve gotten a
0:06:36.639,0:06:42.319
couple of comments already on and about
0:06:39.440,0:06:44.080
about how cool it looks yeah mommy
0:06:42.319,0:06:45.280
actually had a pretty difficult time
0:06:44.080,0:06:48.479
with me as well
0:06:45.280,0:06:52.080
because uh i am not as
0:06:48.479,0:06:54.960
uh you know i don’t have
0:06:52.080,0:06:57.199
a wish list of stuff i want for
0:06:54.960,0:06:59.120
christmas anymore i just have vague
0:06:57.199,0:07:01.599
ideas of what i want but
0:06:59.120,0:07:03.759
mommy was able to satisfy all of them
0:07:01.599,0:07:05.599
because i really had no expectations of
0:07:03.759,0:07:07.120
what i was going to get i just had
0:07:05.599,0:07:09.039
things that i liked
0:07:07.120,0:07:10.479
so she kind of had a rough time but i
0:07:09.039,0:07:11.120
definitely think she made the most out
0:07:10.479,0:07:14.720
of it
0:07:11.120,0:07:16.319
yeah and total props to mommy for
0:07:14.720,0:07:18.000
for taking care of all the hanukkah
0:07:16.319,0:07:20.720
stuff i don’t think i got any hanukkah
0:07:18.000,0:07:22.720
stuff for you this year
0:07:20.720,0:07:25.360
i’m just not very good at that sort of
0:07:22.720,0:07:28.639
thing and mommy seems to excel at it
0:07:25.360,0:07:31.039
yeah the funny thing was um the one
0:07:28.639,0:07:34.319
hanukkah present she got me along with
0:07:31.039,0:07:37.199
uh the magic eight ball was a spongebob
0:07:34.319,0:07:39.199
um magnet blind bag and we had to go to
0:07:37.199,0:07:40.720
hot topic because i was also doing
0:07:39.199,0:07:43.039
shopping for you guys
0:07:40.720,0:07:44.560
and it was kind of funny because like
0:07:43.039,0:07:46.560
she had found something for me and i
0:07:44.560,0:07:48.960
found something for her and you
0:07:46.560,0:07:49.759
and we ended up having to hide it from
0:07:48.960,0:07:51.280
each other
0:07:49.759,0:07:52.879
that’s funny yeah when you’re shopping
0:07:51.280,0:07:55.759
together like that that’s tough
0:07:52.879,0:07:57.039
yeah so that was hanukkah we did pretty
0:07:55.759,0:07:59.440
good with hanukkah
0:07:57.039,0:08:00.720
um i think everything went off without
0:07:59.440,0:08:01.440
hatch we didn’t really play dreidel
0:08:00.720,0:08:02.720
though did we
0:08:01.440,0:08:05.280
never really got a chance to play
0:08:02.720,0:08:07.599
dreidel so but
0:08:05.280,0:08:10.840
what else did we do for hanukkah uh
0:08:07.599,0:08:12.879
let’s see what else did we do for
0:08:10.840,0:08:15.199
hanukkah
0:08:12.879,0:08:18.319
what’s the fried delicacy mommy makes oh
0:08:15.199,0:08:21.039
yeah uh potato pancakes aka lacos
0:08:18.319,0:08:21.840
which you don’t like yeah but i got
0:08:21.039,0:08:24.240
tater tots
0:08:21.840,0:08:24.960
so it’s kind of a similar thing so we
0:08:24.240,0:08:29.919
did that
0:08:24.960,0:08:29.919
we did uh jelly doughnuts jelly donuts
0:08:30.479,0:08:33.760
what else did we do anything else that’s
0:08:32.959,0:08:36.320
of note
0:08:33.760,0:08:38.000
um sour cream and applesauce we have
0:08:36.320,0:08:39.440
those we have right we have that with
0:08:38.000,0:08:41.440
the lockers
0:08:39.440,0:08:43.919
i’m more of a sour cream person than a
0:08:41.440,0:08:45.519
applesauce applesauce is sweet for me
0:08:43.919,0:08:47.040
and i’m more of an applesauce person
0:08:45.519,0:08:49.600
than a sour cream person
0:08:47.040,0:08:51.839
yeah but hanukkah was good you know it’s
0:08:49.600,0:08:53.839
it’s one of those things where it’s
0:08:51.839,0:08:55.680
it’s kind of nice to spread the holiday
0:08:53.839,0:08:58.080
over eight days
0:08:55.680,0:08:59.600
um with christmas it’s like this big
0:08:58.080,0:09:01.600
giant build up and then it’s one night
0:08:59.600,0:09:02.959
and it’s over and done with yeah
0:09:01.600,0:09:04.800
but with hanukkah it’s kind of nice you
0:09:02.959,0:09:06.080
spread it over you get to enjoy a whole
0:09:04.800,0:09:08.720
week’s worth of
0:09:06.080,0:09:10.399
festivities with it so another good
0:09:08.720,0:09:12.399
hanukkah so let’s talk about christmas
0:09:10.399,0:09:15.519
so what did we do
0:09:12.399,0:09:17.440
uh our christmas was kind of
0:09:15.519,0:09:18.959
i don’t know subdued i guess this year
0:09:17.440,0:09:21.120
because of the
0:09:18.959,0:09:22.720
pandemic we didn’t do a lot of the stuff
0:09:21.120,0:09:23.200
that we normally do around christmas
0:09:22.720,0:09:26.640
time
0:09:23.200,0:09:27.680
yeah but let’s talk about christmas
0:09:26.640,0:09:29.760
itself
0:09:27.680,0:09:32.160
what was christmas morning like what
0:09:29.760,0:09:33.279
what how were your presents how did all
0:09:32.160,0:09:36.480
that stuff happen
0:09:33.279,0:09:39.600
so um i know that a lot of people
0:09:36.480,0:09:42.880
think like younger kids get up
0:09:39.600,0:09:43.760
really early and like wake up their
0:09:42.880,0:09:46.480
parents
0:09:43.760,0:09:47.360
super early and are like dying to open
0:09:46.480,0:09:50.640
the presents
0:09:47.360,0:09:52.800
i apparently was never like that no
0:09:50.640,0:09:54.399
you weren’t and i always thought that
0:09:52.800,0:09:57.200
was kind of funny because i was like
0:09:54.399,0:10:00.240
that you know i was the type of person
0:09:57.200,0:10:00.880
i hated going to bed christmas eve and i
0:10:00.240,0:10:02.560
got up
0:10:00.880,0:10:03.839
killer early like i’d wake up at five
0:10:02.560,0:10:05.519
o’clock in the morning and drive my
0:10:03.839,0:10:07.200
parents crazy
0:10:05.519,0:10:08.959
uh but you’ve never been like that fact
0:10:07.200,0:10:09.600
i was the first one up christmas morning
0:10:08.959,0:10:13.760
this year
0:10:09.600,0:10:15.279
yeah like i was i was kind of awake but
0:10:13.760,0:10:17.040
i didn’t want to get up
0:10:15.279,0:10:18.480
it was kind of like i’m not an early
0:10:17.040,0:10:20.959
bird person at all
0:10:18.480,0:10:21.680
which kind of i guess factors into the
0:10:20.959,0:10:23.279
fact that
0:10:21.680,0:10:25.920
i don’t really wake up early on
0:10:23.279,0:10:28.720
christmas uh morning
0:10:25.920,0:10:29.760
so once i heard you i’m like okay sure
0:10:28.720,0:10:32.959
i’ll get up
0:10:29.760,0:10:34.399
all right so you know let me ask you
0:10:32.959,0:10:36.480
you didn’t get a lot of presents this
0:10:34.399,0:10:39.040
year nope
0:10:36.480,0:10:39.680
i think mommy got the most but she’s
0:10:39.040,0:10:41.360
like
0:10:39.680,0:10:43.120
a factor of three yeah she certainly
0:10:41.360,0:10:45.839
does deserve them
0:10:43.120,0:10:47.600
and it was mostly small stuff yeah so
0:10:45.839,0:10:49.519
what was the highlight of the presents
0:10:47.600,0:10:51.760
that you got this year what was
0:10:49.519,0:10:54.720
what was your favorite thing uh what do
0:10:51.760,0:10:54.720
you enjoy the most
0:10:56.480,0:11:02.320
i can’t really decide cuz
0:10:59.519,0:11:04.079
like if you get a bunch of presents like
0:11:02.320,0:11:05.279
there’s that one big present that you
0:11:04.079,0:11:08.079
remember but
0:11:05.279,0:11:08.880
i got five smaller presents but they all
0:11:08.079,0:11:12.079
mean a
0:11:08.880,0:11:14.480
pretty big ton to me um
0:11:12.079,0:11:16.000
some of the more memorable ones were
0:11:14.480,0:11:19.600
were the one i got from
0:11:16.000,0:11:22.880
pepe um that giant art set that i’m
0:11:19.600,0:11:24.560
like really enthusiastic because it has
0:11:22.880,0:11:26.480
like oil pastels that i’ve
0:11:24.560,0:11:28.079
like for some reason really been
0:11:26.480,0:11:31.200
interested in ever since i started
0:11:28.079,0:11:34.160
using them in art class um
0:11:31.200,0:11:35.120
along with a bunch of other stuff for
0:11:34.160,0:11:38.160
painting so
0:11:35.120,0:11:41.279
i’m gonna have to try that out soon um
0:11:38.160,0:11:44.480
another one was the pusheen
0:11:41.279,0:11:47.839
uh bag which was just like um
0:11:44.480,0:11:52.240
a gift bag of three little pusheen
0:11:47.839,0:11:55.200
uh themed uh themed presents because
0:11:52.240,0:11:57.200
i am a fan of pusheen so mommy knew that
0:11:55.200,0:11:59.440
at least and i
0:11:57.200,0:12:00.639
and it came with this really amazing
0:11:59.440,0:12:02.399
water bottle that i’m
0:12:00.639,0:12:04.160
going to probably replace with my other
0:12:02.399,0:12:05.600
wall that i’m going to replace my other
0:12:04.160,0:12:09.120
water bottle with
0:12:05.600,0:12:11.760
and then two blind bags one was
0:12:09.120,0:12:12.160
like well both of them were like little
0:12:11.760,0:12:14.160
mini
0:12:12.160,0:12:15.519
going to be like of little minifigures
0:12:14.160,0:12:18.079
of pusheen and different
0:12:15.519,0:12:19.279
scenarios one of them was themed on junk
0:12:18.079,0:12:22.800
food and the other
0:12:19.279,0:12:24.800
was just pusheen
0:12:22.800,0:12:26.560
you got your chemistry set too right you
0:12:24.800,0:12:28.240
already cracked that open didn’t you
0:12:26.560,0:12:29.839
well yeah that was from hanukkah though
0:12:28.240,0:12:32.800
oh that was hanukkah okay
0:12:29.839,0:12:33.440
yeah what else did you get you got the
0:12:32.800,0:12:35.680
robot
0:12:33.440,0:12:37.200
right the one that i’m going to be
0:12:35.680,0:12:40.320
playing with pumpkin with
0:12:37.200,0:12:41.600
because like you also got it partly for
0:12:40.320,0:12:43.360
pumpkin as well
0:12:41.600,0:12:45.440
right so this robot’s like fully
0:12:43.360,0:12:47.680
articulated you can control the arms and
0:12:45.440,0:12:50.800
the head and dances and stuff like that
0:12:47.680,0:12:54.000
yep so all in all decent christmas
0:12:50.800,0:12:55.600
yep i’d say decent christmas good
0:12:54.000,0:12:57.440
so then the last holiday we really
0:12:55.600,0:12:58.160
celebrated was was new years and we
0:12:57.440,0:13:00.720
don’t really do
0:12:58.160,0:13:03.200
much for new year’s we you know we don’t
0:13:00.720,0:13:06.399
go out to parties or do parades not that
0:13:03.200,0:13:08.880
they were doing parades this year
0:13:06.399,0:13:11.040
so we’re kind of a home stay-at-home
0:13:08.880,0:13:12.560
type thing and watch everything on tv
0:13:11.040,0:13:15.120
yeah but what are some of the things
0:13:12.560,0:13:16.240
that we do that kind of stand out to you
0:13:15.120,0:13:20.240
for new year’s
0:13:16.240,0:13:23.279
well one of them is dinner for dinner we
0:13:20.240,0:13:26.040
typically have appetizers like
0:13:23.279,0:13:27.200
we have stuff that is that’s normally
0:13:26.040,0:13:29.120
microwaved
0:13:27.200,0:13:30.560
like little bite snacks like we have
0:13:29.120,0:13:32.959
mozzarella bites
0:13:30.560,0:13:33.760
shrimp and then we have other different
0:13:32.959,0:13:36.160
verbs
0:13:33.760,0:13:36.959
we have also like regular mozzarella
0:13:36.160,0:13:40.880
sticks
0:13:36.959,0:13:42.560
and um other stuff that
0:13:40.880,0:13:44.560
doesn’t come to mind because the other
0:13:42.560,0:13:45.120
stuff is just a bunch of other things
0:13:44.560,0:13:48.160
that we
0:13:45.120,0:13:51.680
just find that are snacky right
0:13:48.160,0:13:54.720
yeah we kind of do uh kind of
0:13:51.680,0:13:56.880
multiple rounds of hors d’oeuvres
0:13:54.720,0:13:58.800
throughout the night uh kind of to get
0:13:56.880,0:14:00.639
us through the night there
0:13:58.800,0:14:03.120
and we stay up and watch the ball drop
0:14:00.639,0:14:06.160
right now normally we watch
0:14:03.120,0:14:09.040
uh the countdown on a disney stream
0:14:06.160,0:14:10.480
yeah which they didn’t do this year so
0:14:09.040,0:14:12.079
this year we wound up
0:14:10.480,0:14:14.560
and we’ll flip back and forth because
0:14:12.079,0:14:15.760
that’s we’ll usually keep that up on a
0:14:14.560,0:14:16.000
tablet or something like that because
0:14:15.760,0:14:19.440
it’s
0:14:16.000,0:14:23.199
a web stream and then we’ll keep up
0:14:19.440,0:14:27.279
uh the dick clark’s new year’s eve
0:14:23.199,0:14:30.000
stuff on abc and this year was all
0:14:27.279,0:14:31.839
you know dick clark this year and it was
0:14:30.000,0:14:34.079
kind of strange because
0:14:31.839,0:14:35.839
normally people pack into times square
0:14:34.079,0:14:37.199
and you didn’t have a lot of people
0:14:35.839,0:14:38.959
packed in there and they were all kind
0:14:37.199,0:14:40.639
of corralled because of the pandemic
0:14:38.959,0:14:42.839
what were your thoughts on that what
0:14:40.639,0:14:45.360
did you what was your takeaway on that i
0:14:42.839,0:14:47.360
mean for me i really didn’t
0:14:45.360,0:14:48.639
notice it it definitely was kind of
0:14:47.360,0:14:52.480
weird to like
0:14:48.639,0:14:55.199
not see like a huge crowd
0:14:52.480,0:14:57.920
um but i was kind of used to it and i
0:14:55.199,0:14:58.800
was glad everyone was being safe as well
0:14:57.920,0:15:00.639
um
0:14:58.800,0:15:02.560
it was definitely kind of strange but
0:15:00.639,0:15:05.760
for some reason it kind of felt normal
0:15:02.560,0:15:06.959
as well so they were able to to kind of
0:15:05.760,0:15:09.760
keep that
0:15:06.959,0:15:12.639
normal new year’s tradition alive as
0:15:09.760,0:15:14.160
much as they could then any other
0:15:12.639,0:15:14.800
highlights of new year’s you wanted to
0:15:14.160,0:15:18.720
mention
0:15:14.800,0:15:21.680
um sometimes when it when after
0:15:18.720,0:15:22.639
it’s midnight and it’s new year’s day we
0:15:21.680,0:15:26.480
would sometimes
0:15:22.639,0:15:29.040
have um grape juice or
0:15:26.480,0:15:29.519
the sparkling circle the sparkling cider
0:15:29.040,0:15:32.000
um
0:15:29.519,0:15:32.800
and we’d like pour a drink for each of
0:15:32.000,0:15:35.759
us and we’d
0:15:32.800,0:15:37.120
like you know clink it together uh make
0:15:35.759,0:15:40.240
the clink sound
0:15:37.120,0:15:43.120
yes and then uh say happy new year
0:15:40.240,0:15:45.040
and uh drink yep we all have it a toast
0:15:43.120,0:15:47.040
of sparkling cider for the new year
0:15:45.040,0:15:48.560
yeah i always thought it was like which
0:15:47.040,0:15:50.079
we didn’t do this year because mommy
0:15:48.560,0:15:52.320
couldn’t get sparkling cider
0:15:50.079,0:15:53.440
yeah so all right so what do you think
0:15:52.320,0:15:56.720
new year’s was
0:15:53.440,0:15:59.199
okay not okay subpar what do you think
0:15:56.720,0:16:00.000
it was fine it was a decent new year
0:15:59.199,0:16:01.440
probably
0:16:00.000,0:16:03.440
one that many people are going to
0:16:01.440,0:16:06.399
remember yeah unfortunately
0:16:03.440,0:16:07.279
unfortunately but i guess you make the
0:16:06.399,0:16:09.440
most of it right
0:16:07.279,0:16:10.800
yeah what can you do all right well
0:16:09.440,0:16:11.680
we’re going to take a quick break and
0:16:10.800,0:16:13.680
we’ll come back
0:16:11.680,0:16:15.360
and then we’ll talk about some of the uh
0:16:13.680,0:16:23.839
specific things we did
0:16:15.360,0:16:23.839
during the holiday season itself

welcome back to insights in the teens we
0:17:31.360,0:17:35.919
are doing a year in review
0:17:34.240,0:17:37.840
and we’re going to talk a little bit
0:17:35.919,0:17:39.440
about what we did over the holiday so
0:17:37.840,0:17:41.919
one of the big things that we do is we
0:17:39.440,0:17:44.640
go and look at lights a lot
0:17:41.919,0:17:46.559
and normally we stick to one maybe two
0:17:44.640,0:17:48.240
places that we look at
0:17:46.559,0:17:49.760
uh one being a drive-through the other
0:17:48.240,0:17:51.679
being a walk-through
0:17:49.760,0:17:53.360
well things being the way they are this
0:17:51.679,0:17:53.840
year we kind of changed that up a little
0:17:53.360,0:17:56.080
bit
0:17:53.840,0:17:57.360
yep so we went to three different
0:17:56.080,0:17:59.679
drive-throughs
0:17:57.360,0:18:02.240
yep so the first one we went to was at
0:17:59.679,0:18:04.400
the bridgeport racetrack
0:18:02.240,0:18:05.679
uh first year we’ve ever done that one
0:18:04.400,0:18:09.120
what are your thoughts
0:18:05.679,0:18:13.120
on that one and be perfectly honest
0:18:09.120,0:18:16.400
being completely honest i
0:18:13.120,0:18:20.160
it was a little subpar
0:18:16.400,0:18:23.280
um there was not many extreme
0:18:20.160,0:18:26.080
lights and a lot of them were
0:18:23.280,0:18:26.720
very spaced out so after you got to see
0:18:26.080,0:18:30.240
one
0:18:26.720,0:18:31.360
it was like you just waited to see the
0:18:30.240,0:18:33.919
other one
0:18:31.360,0:18:35.600
like and like although you got to
0:18:33.919,0:18:38.160
appreciate the other
0:18:35.600,0:18:40.799
um the lights as since they were spaced
0:18:38.160,0:18:43.039
out since they really weren’t the most
0:18:40.799,0:18:44.880
eye-catching it kind of got a little
0:18:43.039,0:18:48.480
tiring after a while
0:18:44.880,0:18:49.280
and of course the scenery um was pretty
0:18:48.480,0:18:52.400
dark
0:18:49.280,0:18:53.760
and i have to say the land wasn’t the
0:18:52.400,0:18:57.760
most smooth
0:18:53.760,0:18:58.160
so um but they did have a happy hanukkah
0:18:57.760,0:19:00.799
sign
0:18:58.160,0:19:02.480
so nice so is that something that you
0:19:00.799,0:19:03.919
think we would do next year or is it
0:19:02.480,0:19:06.080
something maybe
0:19:03.919,0:19:07.600
if they continue to do it we’ll take a
0:19:06.080,0:19:09.200
couple of years off and let them build
0:19:07.600,0:19:11.679
it up a little bit what do you think
0:19:09.200,0:19:13.280
i probably would probably let him build
0:19:11.679,0:19:17.280
it up a little bit
0:19:13.280,0:19:19.600
um i definitely wasn’t the most like
0:19:17.280,0:19:20.320
impressed by it since i’ve seen other
0:19:19.600,0:19:24.080
lights
0:19:20.320,0:19:26.160
um so it was a decent one for this year
0:19:24.080,0:19:29.520
but probably one we won’t be revisiting
0:19:26.160,0:19:31.760
next year okay so the other one we had
0:19:29.520,0:19:33.520
was creamy acres and they’ve done it for
0:19:31.760,0:19:36.000
a few years in a row now but this was
0:19:33.520,0:19:37.840
the first time that we’ve gone to it
0:19:36.000,0:19:40.080
what were your thoughts on creamy acres
0:19:37.840,0:19:42.000
i have to be honest that one was really
0:19:40.080,0:19:43.520
much more impressive than the other one
0:19:42.000,0:19:47.360
they had a lot more
0:19:43.520,0:19:50.880
lights um it lasted longer and it had
0:19:47.360,0:19:51.280
neat animations as well as music tunes
0:19:50.880,0:19:53.039
as
0:19:51.280,0:19:54.880
the other one had music tuned as well
0:19:53.039,0:19:56.400
and i had to be honest the music tune
0:19:54.880,0:19:59.280
was the best of that one
0:19:56.400,0:20:00.160
and for this one the music tune was a
0:19:59.280,0:20:03.600
little bit off
0:20:00.160,0:20:06.000
but um the visuals were very nice and
0:20:03.600,0:20:07.600
it was def and like they add a bunch
0:20:06.000,0:20:10.080
more cluster together and i think the
0:20:07.600,0:20:12.799
clustered look looks a bit better than
0:20:10.080,0:20:13.600
um the spaced out looks so creamy acres
0:20:12.799,0:20:16.559
was a win
0:20:13.600,0:20:18.080
over bridgeport yeah so the other one
0:20:16.559,0:20:18.400
that we do and this is one that we’ve
0:20:18.080,0:20:21.600
done
0:20:18.400,0:20:22.960
numerous times year after year with
0:20:21.600,0:20:24.960
shady brook farms
0:20:22.960,0:20:27.360
and how would you rate shady brook farms
0:20:24.960,0:20:29.200
display shady brook farms was probably
0:20:27.360,0:20:30.480
the best out of all of them we went to
0:20:29.200,0:20:31.880
them in order and
0:20:30.480,0:20:33.679
like we kind of built up our
0:20:31.880,0:20:35.600
expectations
0:20:33.679,0:20:37.520
and honestly shadybrook is always a
0:20:35.600,0:20:40.960
great highlight because they have
0:20:37.520,0:20:44.240
a lot of amazing um visuals
0:20:40.960,0:20:47.760
and i have to be honest they have like
0:20:44.240,0:20:50.960
a lot they’re probably the biggest um
0:20:47.760,0:20:52.880
one and i definitely favored it over all
0:20:50.960,0:20:54.080
the others although they definitely did
0:20:52.880,0:20:57.600
put some
0:20:54.080,0:20:59.440
big efforts into it and um
0:20:57.600,0:21:01.520
and since we’ve gone to it year after
0:20:59.440,0:21:03.760
year i did actually see a bunch of new
0:21:01.520,0:21:05.440
stuff that i hadn’t seen before
0:21:03.760,0:21:07.760
like there was a giant candy cane
0:21:05.440,0:21:09.840
factory um
0:21:07.760,0:21:11.600
light show and it was something we had
0:21:09.840,0:21:12.480
never seen before and that was really
0:21:11.600,0:21:14.720
interesting
0:21:12.480,0:21:16.080
yeah they do a great job there and the
0:21:14.720,0:21:19.120
fact that they’re continuing to
0:21:16.080,0:21:20.960
reinvest in it with new lights and
0:21:19.120,0:21:25.280
maintaining the lights they have
0:21:20.960,0:21:27.840
um and you know the fact that they have
0:21:25.280,0:21:29.360
you know special traffic cops out there
0:21:27.840,0:21:30.640
and everything kind of lend themselves
0:21:29.360,0:21:32.159
to the fact that it’s really one of the
0:21:30.640,0:21:34.320
largest ones in the area
0:21:32.159,0:21:36.559
yeah and i have to be honest like their
0:21:34.320,0:21:39.200
light animation was the best
0:21:36.559,0:21:40.880
like there was this one a really amazing
0:21:39.200,0:21:43.760
water scene where the waves
0:21:40.880,0:21:45.760
actually look like they’re moving and
0:21:43.760,0:21:48.640
honestly it’s really impressive
0:21:45.760,0:21:48.960
yeah so they did a very good job there
0:21:48.640,0:21:51.840
so
0:21:48.960,0:21:53.840
outside of doing the christmas lights we
0:21:51.840,0:21:55.679
did a few other things we were shut down
0:21:53.840,0:21:57.120
the podcast itself was shut down for
0:21:55.679,0:22:00.400
several weeks
0:21:57.120,0:22:03.520
while we did some extensive reworks on
0:22:00.400,0:22:05.200
the studio yep uh and you can probably
0:22:03.520,0:22:07.520
see it from some of the angles and
0:22:05.200,0:22:09.039
and some of the shots that we have on
0:22:07.520,0:22:11.280
the video here
0:22:09.039,0:22:12.799
uh we did a number of different things
0:22:11.280,0:22:15.280
some of which you had helped out with
0:22:12.799,0:22:16.799
which i appreciate
0:22:15.280,0:22:18.400
the biggest thing was probably we have a
0:22:16.799,0:22:21.520
new
0:22:18.400,0:22:23.360
processing computer in here
0:22:21.520,0:22:25.120
we were having some some technical
0:22:23.360,0:22:26.880
issues with the old one
0:22:25.120,0:22:28.240
so that one was pulled out we have a
0:22:26.880,0:22:31.600
brand new
0:22:28.240,0:22:33.679
i9 intel system in here now
0:22:31.600,0:22:34.720
it’s running the entire podcast which is
0:22:33.679,0:22:37.200
nice
0:22:34.720,0:22:38.720
we rewired the entire place we took our
0:22:37.200,0:22:41.600
monitors we put them up on
0:22:38.720,0:22:44.000
uh swing arm monitor mounts to clear the
0:22:41.600,0:22:45.200
desk space up a bit here we changed up
0:22:44.000,0:22:48.159
some of the
0:22:45.200,0:22:49.919
configuration if we take a look at this
0:22:48.159,0:22:51.520
angle here you can obviously see that
0:22:49.919,0:22:53.919
we’ve moved
0:22:51.520,0:22:56.559
the entire control board around a bit
0:22:53.919,0:23:00.000
here yep
0:22:56.559,0:23:01.440
we have some more convenient wiring
0:23:00.000,0:23:03.280
going on here so
0:23:01.440,0:23:06.000
hopefully we’ll be able to present a
0:23:03.280,0:23:07.120
much better podcast we won’t have nearly
0:23:06.000,0:23:09.120
as many
0:23:07.120,0:23:10.320
technical glitches as we were having for
0:23:09.120,0:23:11.679
a while there because they were getting
0:23:10.320,0:23:14.880
pretty
0:23:11.679,0:23:17.360
pretty frustrating from
0:23:14.880,0:23:20.080
from certainly my engineering side of of
0:23:17.360,0:23:21.679
things to get things going
0:23:20.080,0:23:24.480
so you helped a lot with the wiring
0:23:21.679,0:23:26.080
right yep so tell us a little bit about
0:23:24.480,0:23:28.799
what i had you doing
0:23:26.080,0:23:29.440
well at first you had me pulling all the
0:23:28.799,0:23:31.360
plugs
0:23:29.440,0:23:33.440
and helping you take out some of the
0:23:31.360,0:23:36.080
comp some of the larger
0:23:33.440,0:23:36.480
uh compute some of the larger computers
0:23:36.080,0:23:39.280
that
0:23:36.480,0:23:40.159
a lot of the stuff was plugged into um
0:23:39.280,0:23:42.320
basically
0:23:40.159,0:23:43.919
removing all the stuff having a fresh
0:23:42.320,0:23:46.720
clean start
0:23:43.919,0:23:47.919
and then i helped out with plugging some
0:23:46.720,0:23:50.559
of the new stuff in
0:23:47.919,0:23:52.000
including the new wiring headphones
0:23:50.559,0:23:54.400
right yeah so that’s the other thing
0:23:52.000,0:23:56.480
that we have is we’ve got new uh
0:23:54.400,0:23:58.240
new studio headphones which actually
0:23:56.480,0:24:00.159
sound really nice not the other ones
0:23:58.240,0:24:01.600
were bad but yeah
0:24:00.159,0:24:03.840
these ones are a little bit more on the
0:24:01.600,0:24:05.440
professional side
0:24:03.840,0:24:07.120
so yeah you did a very good job of
0:24:05.440,0:24:09.600
helping me unfortunately i don’t
0:24:07.120,0:24:11.440
i with my back and some of the ailments
0:24:09.600,0:24:14.559
that i have i just can’t crawl around on
0:24:11.440,0:24:16.640
the floor like i used to wiring stuff up
0:24:14.559,0:24:18.000
so you’re very helpful in getting all
0:24:16.640,0:24:20.000
the wiring out because we
0:24:18.000,0:24:22.159
literally ripped everything out all the
0:24:20.000,0:24:24.720
equipment was ripped out
0:24:22.159,0:24:26.240
and then once i was ready for it you
0:24:24.720,0:24:26.960
were able to get back in there and wire
0:24:26.240,0:24:29.440
everything back
0:24:26.960,0:24:31.120
up so everything under the desk which
0:24:29.440,0:24:32.080
used to be a real rat’s nest is now
0:24:31.120,0:24:34.480
cleaned up now
0:24:32.080,0:24:36.640
yeah much cleaner than before so
0:24:34.480,0:24:38.400
hopefully we’re presenting a
0:24:36.640,0:24:40.240
a better more professional looking
0:24:38.400,0:24:41.919
podcast at this point in time if nothing
0:24:40.240,0:24:43.760
else at least i don’t i’m not gonna
0:24:41.919,0:24:45.520
you know get tripped on the wiring
0:24:43.760,0:24:45.760
anymore yeah and i don’t feel the wiles
0:24:45.520,0:24:48.799
on
0:24:45.760,0:24:51.520
the wire on my feet anymore yeah so we
0:24:48.799,0:24:52.640
we when we started podcasting we kind of
0:24:51.520,0:24:56.000
grew the studio
0:24:52.640,0:24:57.760
organically adding new equipment and
0:24:56.000,0:25:00.400
and options and stuff and you know we
0:24:57.760,0:25:02.000
never really took the time to properly
0:25:00.400,0:25:05.120
wire things up so
0:25:02.000,0:25:07.360
now now i think we’re in good shape so
0:25:05.120,0:25:08.320
we also played some we had some fun and
0:25:07.360,0:25:10.559
games right
0:25:08.320,0:25:12.400
yep so one of the things that we did
0:25:10.559,0:25:15.520
which we’ll be doing another session
0:25:12.400,0:25:18.240
tomorrow with your brother sam is
0:25:15.520,0:25:20.720
dungeons and dragons
0:25:18.240,0:25:23.440
so this was i i had used i played
0:25:20.720,0:25:27.679
dungeon the dragons
0:25:23.440,0:25:31.200
um a very long time ago in high school
0:25:27.679,0:25:33.919
that’s how i got introduced to it um
0:25:31.200,0:25:36.240
your first experience with it was a few
0:25:33.919,0:25:40.000
weeks ago over the holidays
0:25:36.240,0:25:42.320
what were your thoughts i really like it
0:25:40.000,0:25:43.600
um of course i didn’t know the whole
0:25:42.320,0:25:46.159
logistics of it
0:25:43.600,0:25:48.320
at first but after playing a few
0:25:46.159,0:25:50.559
sessions i started learning it
0:25:48.320,0:25:52.880
and i definitely think the story that
0:25:50.559,0:25:55.679
sam had created for the game
0:25:52.880,0:25:56.559
is very intriguing and i really like
0:25:55.679,0:25:59.279
that
0:25:56.559,0:26:01.760
it’s and it’s a way to express
0:25:59.279,0:26:05.039
storytelling in game form as well
0:26:01.760,0:26:06.880
um i i’ve come up with
0:26:05.039,0:26:09.039
we’ve come up with characters i’m
0:26:06.880,0:26:10.000
thinking of my character’s backstory and
0:26:09.039,0:26:12.320
their personality
0:26:10.000,0:26:13.919
stuff like that because i really like
0:26:12.320,0:26:16.320
storytelling and
0:26:13.919,0:26:16.960
well this is kind of another good game
0:26:16.320,0:26:19.919
for
0:26:16.960,0:26:20.880
a good game for it so so we all created
0:26:19.919,0:26:23.919
characters
0:26:20.880,0:26:24.320
what kind of character did you create um
0:26:23.919,0:26:27.840
i
0:26:24.320,0:26:31.200
created a um
0:26:27.840,0:26:34.640
a tiefling a tiefling a tiefling ranger
0:26:31.200,0:26:37.760
right um who was
0:26:34.640,0:26:39.520
going who i kinda wanted who i kind of
0:26:37.760,0:26:42.320
expected to be like a more
0:26:39.520,0:26:43.440
mysterious kind of character because the
0:26:42.320,0:26:45.600
tiflings
0:26:43.440,0:26:47.520
um by their definition are shown to be
0:26:45.600,0:26:49.520
kind of social outcasts
0:26:47.520,0:26:52.640
so i had to kind of take that into
0:26:49.520,0:26:54.480
consideration as well as their class
0:26:52.640,0:26:56.159
since they’re a ranger i wanted them to
0:26:54.480,0:26:59.600
have a more foresty
0:26:56.159,0:27:01.440
kind of part in their story like if they
0:26:59.600,0:27:02.640
they probably lived in like an ewok kind
0:27:01.440,0:27:03.919
of village
0:27:02.640,0:27:06.400
that kind of thing interesting
0:27:03.919,0:27:08.960
visualization yeah i’m having
0:27:06.400,0:27:10.480
um a fun time coming up with that so
0:27:08.960,0:27:13.760
you’re a tiefling ranger
0:27:10.480,0:27:15.919
mommy was an elvish wizard
0:27:13.760,0:27:17.039
yeah she was an elf wizard she was an
0:27:15.919,0:27:20.240
elf wizard
0:27:17.039,0:27:24.799
and i came up with a dragonborn
0:27:20.240,0:27:27.360
paladin so we learned how to play
0:27:24.799,0:27:29.200
you know sam shane walked us through
0:27:27.360,0:27:31.840
setting up the characters
0:27:29.200,0:27:32.559
uh we we walked through a very basic
0:27:31.840,0:27:35.120
scenario
0:27:32.559,0:27:35.919
right off the bat uh how do you feel
0:27:35.120,0:27:38.000
about the
0:27:35.919,0:27:39.679
the rules so far in the mechanics of
0:27:38.000,0:27:41.039
playing you feel comfortable with it
0:27:39.679,0:27:42.720
yeah the rules are starting to make more
0:27:41.039,0:27:44.880
and more sense um
0:27:42.720,0:27:47.120
when you have we didn’t have uh the
0:27:44.880,0:27:49.200
correct diet first but now we’re getting
0:27:47.120,0:27:51.120
a few more better supplies
0:27:49.200,0:27:52.240
so things are definitely looking a
0:27:51.120,0:27:55.440
little more uh
0:27:52.240,0:27:57.679
professional i guess right
0:27:55.440,0:27:58.799
we’re professional d d players now yeah
0:27:57.679,0:28:01.360
sure
0:27:58.799,0:28:02.880
uh had i had a couple of funny mishaps
0:28:01.360,0:28:03.600
there why don’t you tell us about one of
0:28:02.880,0:28:06.559
those
0:28:03.600,0:28:09.120
okay so during the first time once we
0:28:06.559,0:28:12.000
were done creating all of our characters
0:28:09.120,0:28:13.039
we were able to play the uh short part
0:28:12.000,0:28:16.159
of the session
0:28:13.039,0:28:19.039
um and during the and
0:28:16.159,0:28:20.159
sin so basically the start of the story
0:28:19.039,0:28:23.440
we were all
0:28:20.159,0:28:25.200
sent here by a friend with a um who sent
0:28:23.440,0:28:26.880
us a letter i’m guessing it was our dead
0:28:25.200,0:28:27.840
friend and we were supposed to go into
0:28:26.880,0:28:29.760
the woods
0:28:27.840,0:28:32.720
and we ended up meeting up with some
0:28:29.760,0:28:35.679
monsters who ended up attacking us
0:28:32.720,0:28:37.440
and when we had to try and attack back
0:28:35.679,0:28:40.960
mommy being a wizard
0:28:37.440,0:28:44.000
um was going to use a fireball on
0:28:40.960,0:28:47.039
one of the monsters
0:28:44.000,0:28:49.360
and since you were helping out um
0:28:47.039,0:28:50.960
you were right next to her and she ended
0:28:49.360,0:28:54.159
up rolling a one
0:28:50.960,0:28:55.520
and a critical miss and it ended up
0:28:54.159,0:28:58.240
hitting you
0:28:55.520,0:29:00.000
yes so i no longer stand anywhere near
0:28:58.240,0:29:02.480
mommy if i can avoid it
0:29:00.000,0:29:03.360
yeah i mean you weren’t too hurt by it
0:29:02.480,0:29:05.520
since you
0:29:03.360,0:29:07.279
are technically already have fire
0:29:05.520,0:29:10.240
protection because you’re a dragon
0:29:07.279,0:29:11.919
right um but still yeah that was that
0:29:10.240,0:29:13.520
was kind of funny we had a lot of fun
0:29:11.919,0:29:16.880
with that at mommy’s expense
0:29:13.520,0:29:19.120
yeah we also had um in our last session
0:29:16.880,0:29:20.480
we had a final battle with some
0:29:19.120,0:29:23.360
skeletons
0:29:20.480,0:29:24.880
which was a lot more difficult than it
0:29:23.360,0:29:26.480
should have been turns out it’s really
0:29:24.880,0:29:29.360
hard to hit skeletons
0:29:26.480,0:29:31.600
yes and skeletons do a lot more damage
0:29:29.360,0:29:33.600
mommy ended up dying multiple times and
0:29:31.600,0:29:36.480
you had to try healing she didn’t die
0:29:33.600,0:29:38.159
she was just incapacitated incapacitated
0:29:36.480,0:29:38.880
sam was nice enough not to kill any of
0:29:38.159,0:29:41.360
us off
0:29:38.880,0:29:42.399
yeah you ended up having to try and heal
0:29:41.360,0:29:45.120
her and i ended up
0:29:42.399,0:29:46.559
and we both ended up and we both ended
0:29:45.120,0:29:49.919
up having like
0:29:46.559,0:29:52.080
very little um health points left i
0:29:49.919,0:29:53.440
ended up having one and you had like the
0:29:52.080,0:29:55.120
greatest amount because
0:29:53.440,0:29:58.640
you weren’t really attacked because i
0:29:55.120,0:30:00.399
was a coward just sitting in the back
0:29:58.640,0:30:02.480
yeah you’re basically using mommy as a
0:30:00.399,0:30:03.679
body shield oh she would mommy was my
0:30:02.480,0:30:06.640
meat shield there
0:30:03.679,0:30:08.159
yes uh so we had fun with that we did
0:30:06.640,0:30:10.320
some other stuff uh
0:30:08.159,0:30:11.760
before the holiday i was fortunate
0:30:10.320,0:30:14.960
enough to actually score an
0:30:11.760,0:30:16.960
xbox series s i was going for an x or a
0:30:14.960,0:30:18.880
ps5 but
0:30:16.960,0:30:21.279
i had to settle on an s and we
0:30:18.880,0:30:22.799
resurrected a couple of games
0:30:21.279,0:30:24.720
one of which you had played before the
0:30:22.799,0:30:26.799
other one that you hadn’t
0:30:24.720,0:30:28.159
um that were disney themed why don’t you
0:30:26.799,0:30:30.320
tell us about those
0:30:28.159,0:30:31.279
so the first one was called disney
0:30:30.320,0:30:33.760
adventures
0:30:31.279,0:30:34.640
disneyland adventures and it was
0:30:33.760,0:30:37.279
basically
0:30:34.640,0:30:39.600
like this cute little game that had like
0:30:37.279,0:30:41.200
the map of disneyland and it had all the
0:30:39.600,0:30:43.840
iconic characters
0:30:41.200,0:30:46.559
in different areas and basically what
0:30:43.840,0:30:48.559
you did was you got quests from them
0:30:46.559,0:30:51.120
some of them you basically just found
0:30:48.559,0:30:52.399
objects and you um had to bring it back
0:30:51.120,0:30:54.480
to the characters
0:30:52.399,0:30:55.600
others were a bit more complicated to
0:30:54.480,0:30:58.000
where you went into
0:30:55.600,0:30:58.880
actual attractions which i definitely
0:30:58.000,0:31:00.720
have to say
0:30:58.880,0:31:02.840
they came up with some really creative
0:31:00.720,0:31:05.760
concepts like with the haunted mansion
0:31:02.840,0:31:06.399
attraction they they have different
0:31:05.760,0:31:09.440
levels
0:31:06.399,0:31:12.399
in each of them that depending on
0:31:09.440,0:31:12.640
what your task was you have to complete
0:31:12.399,0:31:16.320
it
0:31:12.640,0:31:18.559
in a certain level and um
0:31:16.320,0:31:20.320
for the haunted mansion one the first
0:31:18.559,0:31:24.080
level you ended up falling
0:31:20.320,0:31:27.679
through um where you normally enter
0:31:24.080,0:31:29.760
and it was basically you had to try and
0:31:27.679,0:31:32.720
um you basically fell through an endless
0:31:29.760,0:31:35.440
hallway and you had to avoid objects
0:31:32.720,0:31:36.720
move around and match poses in order to
0:31:35.440,0:31:39.600
get through it
0:31:36.720,0:31:42.159
the second part was then you went and
0:31:39.600,0:31:44.880
had a flashlight and you had to
0:31:42.159,0:31:47.279
explore them get get out of the mansion
0:31:44.880,0:31:48.880
because you were basically trapped in it
0:31:47.279,0:31:50.880
and you had a flashlight and you had to
0:31:48.880,0:31:52.799
try and get rid of the ghosts for points
0:31:50.880,0:31:54.799
you couldn’t let them scare you and you
0:31:52.799,0:31:57.039
had to run through the house
0:31:54.799,0:31:58.320
so what was the second game this is one
0:31:57.039,0:32:00.399
you hadn’t played before
0:31:58.320,0:32:02.720
yeah this is one i hadn’t played before
0:32:00.399,0:32:03.919
um it was a pixar themed game with a
0:32:02.720,0:32:07.159
similar concept
0:32:03.919,0:32:10.880
but instead of disneyland it was a
0:32:07.159,0:32:14.720
pixar-themed land and basically
0:32:10.880,0:32:18.399
it was incorporated the movies of
0:32:14.720,0:32:21.760
up cars ratatouille toy story
0:32:18.399,0:32:23.919
uh finding nemo and dory and
0:32:21.760,0:32:25.039
incredibles incredibles so how do you
0:32:23.919,0:32:27.519
like that one
0:32:25.039,0:32:28.240
i liked it as well it had a similar game
0:32:27.519,0:32:30.000
engine
0:32:28.240,0:32:31.360
and basically there were three different
0:32:30.000,0:32:34.640
levels for
0:32:31.360,0:32:37.039
each of the movies and it was kind of
0:32:34.640,0:32:40.320
cool because each of the kids
0:32:37.039,0:32:44.480
are shown to be the fans of
0:32:40.320,0:32:46.559
um the specific franchise or movie
0:32:44.480,0:32:47.760
and it’s kind of cool because they kind
0:32:46.559,0:32:50.480
of recreated
0:32:47.760,0:32:50.960
some of the characters that you play the
0:32:50.480,0:32:54.159
scenes
0:32:50.960,0:32:56.399
as as the kids because like when you go
0:32:54.159,0:32:57.919
into the cars one there’s a kid
0:32:56.399,0:33:00.000
there’s a kid who kind of represents
0:32:57.919,0:33:00.480
mater and likes to play as mater has
0:33:00.000,0:33:03.440
like a
0:33:00.480,0:33:03.919
he has a rugged he has a ruggish look to
0:33:03.440,0:33:05.840
him
0:33:03.919,0:33:08.799
and you kind of like get why they like
0:33:05.840,0:33:12.399
to play those certain characters because
0:33:08.799,0:33:14.720
they look and act like them right so
0:33:12.399,0:33:16.320
what do you think good games yeah
0:33:14.720,0:33:19.519
they’re good games i like them
0:33:16.320,0:33:21.279
nice so one of the other things that we
0:33:19.519,0:33:22.559
did we actually got a couple of games
0:33:21.279,0:33:25.919
for the holidays
0:33:22.559,0:33:27.679
uh you know christmas or hanukkah
0:33:25.919,0:33:29.200
and one of the games that we got i had
0:33:27.679,0:33:32.320
gotten mommy got me
0:33:29.200,0:33:34.720
for hanukkah called teledoodle
0:33:32.320,0:33:36.840
and this was kind of an interesting uh
0:33:34.720,0:33:39.519
they they bill it as
0:33:36.840,0:33:43.200
a
0:33:39.519,0:33:43.840
an interesting illustrated uh version of
0:33:43.200,0:33:45.519
the game
0:33:43.840,0:33:47.440
telephone why don’t you tell us a little
0:33:45.519,0:33:50.559
bit about how this game works
0:33:47.440,0:33:53.840
so basically you have multiple players
0:33:50.559,0:33:57.519
we had three and basically you each have
0:33:53.840,0:34:00.960
to pick up a card and each card has
0:33:57.519,0:34:01.760
uh one through six numbered and each of
0:34:00.960,0:34:04.640
the numbers
0:34:01.760,0:34:05.679
has a certain word and when you and
0:34:04.640,0:34:09.119
after you
0:34:05.679,0:34:11.280
all roll the die to find out which
0:34:09.119,0:34:14.399
number you get you have to
0:34:11.280,0:34:15.359
draw that specific item like if i ended
0:34:14.399,0:34:18.000
up rolling a two
0:34:15.359,0:34:18.399
i’d look on my card and for two it would
0:34:18.000,0:34:21.679
be
0:34:18.399,0:34:23.520
pepper and i’d have to draw it on
0:34:21.679,0:34:24.879
and i’d have to draw it under a minute
0:34:23.520,0:34:26.159
and everyone else would have to draw
0:34:24.879,0:34:29.040
their objects
0:34:26.159,0:34:31.359
and then what we would do is that we
0:34:29.040,0:34:35.359
would write down our word
0:34:31.359,0:34:38.720
on one page then write down then draw
0:34:35.359,0:34:41.440
that word on the other page and when we
0:34:38.720,0:34:41.919
and then we pass it to the other player
0:34:41.440,0:34:45.679
and
0:34:41.919,0:34:47.599
when and then they have to only look at
0:34:45.679,0:34:49.679
the page where the drawing is and try
0:34:47.599,0:34:52.399
and guess what the word is
0:34:49.679,0:34:54.399
so the way we play it um because the
0:34:52.399,0:34:54.800
game kind of didn’t really state it too
0:34:54.399,0:34:57.680
well
0:34:54.800,0:34:58.400
for us is that that person has to look
0:34:57.680,0:35:01.359
at the first
0:34:58.400,0:35:02.320
page then they guess they guess what
0:35:01.359,0:35:04.880
their
0:35:02.320,0:35:06.480
they guess what that is on the second
0:35:04.880,0:35:08.960
page the page after
0:35:06.480,0:35:09.839
the drawing and then on the third page
0:35:08.960,0:35:12.800
they have to
0:35:09.839,0:35:13.200
draw what they think it is and then they
0:35:12.800,0:35:15.119
fi
0:35:13.200,0:35:16.400
and finally you pass it to the last
0:35:15.119,0:35:19.040
person and then
0:35:16.400,0:35:20.880
looking only at the third page on the
0:35:19.040,0:35:21.520
fourth plate page they have to guess
0:35:20.880,0:35:25.200
what the word
0:35:21.520,0:35:26.000
actually is so kind of kind of fun game
0:35:25.200,0:35:30.000
we had there
0:35:26.000,0:35:32.240
some interesting interpretations i think
0:35:30.000,0:35:34.560
we had on some of them my favorite one
0:35:32.240,0:35:35.200
was when i had to draw a barrel and i
0:35:34.560,0:35:37.119
ended up
0:35:35.200,0:35:38.880
like making a barrel didn’t know if it
0:35:37.119,0:35:39.680
was gonna be obvious so i put a pirate
0:35:38.880,0:35:42.079
hat on it
0:35:39.680,0:35:45.839
right and you guys thought it was a
0:35:42.079,0:35:45.839
bottle of porridge
0:35:49.920,0:35:54.000
interesting uh exercise in how people’s
0:35:53.440,0:35:57.440
minds
0:35:54.000,0:35:58.000
work visually yep so the other game you
0:35:57.440,0:35:59.520
got
0:35:58.000,0:36:01.119
and you got it for christmas right was
0:35:59.520,0:36:03.920
it christmas or hanukkah
0:36:01.119,0:36:05.520
it was hanukkah again and it was jumanji
0:36:03.920,0:36:07.280
uh that was only two players so i didn’t
0:36:05.520,0:36:08.160
get to play that one so tell us how that
0:36:07.280,0:36:10.320
one went
0:36:08.160,0:36:12.400
uh that one was kind of interesting
0:36:10.320,0:36:16.000
basically what you have to do
0:36:12.400,0:36:17.040
is you have you have depending on what
0:36:16.000,0:36:19.119
color you have
0:36:17.040,0:36:20.160
you have a certain path that you go
0:36:19.119,0:36:23.200
through
0:36:20.160,0:36:24.560
um and you roll the die and you have to
0:36:23.200,0:36:26.000
go through a certain path
0:36:24.560,0:36:28.800
and there are different spaces that you
0:36:26.000,0:36:31.680
can land on one of the spaces
0:36:28.800,0:36:32.560
is the common space is the blank space
0:36:31.680,0:36:37.359
where you have to
0:36:32.560,0:36:40.400
pull a danger card and you have to use
0:36:37.359,0:36:44.160
um i don’t know what it was a code
0:36:40.400,0:36:46.960
uh decoder where you have to
0:36:44.160,0:36:48.400
where you have to where there’s an image
0:36:46.960,0:36:51.599
and a number
0:36:48.400,0:36:52.400
um and whatever the image is there’s a
0:36:51.599,0:36:54.560
second
0:36:52.400,0:36:55.920
there are two different there’s another
0:36:54.560,0:36:59.520
die where
0:36:55.920,0:37:02.880
it has those it has one of those images
0:36:59.520,0:37:05.920
um and basically like if i said
0:37:02.880,0:37:08.960
axe um what mommy would
0:37:05.920,0:37:09.680
have to do is i’d flip over the timer
0:37:08.960,0:37:12.800
that they had
0:37:09.680,0:37:13.119
and she’d have to try and roll an axe or
0:37:12.800,0:37:16.480
an
0:37:13.119,0:37:18.640
hourglass because that was a wild and
0:37:16.480,0:37:19.839
and if she did it in time before the
0:37:18.640,0:37:22.880
timer stopped
0:37:19.839,0:37:24.079
i got to move up as many spaces as the
0:37:22.880,0:37:27.200
number on the uh
0:37:24.079,0:37:29.200
the number on the card set and if
0:37:27.200,0:37:31.280
she didn’t get it in time i’d have to
0:37:29.200,0:37:35.359
put it in the doom
0:37:31.280,0:37:36.800
in uh the doomsday in the doomsday aisle
0:37:35.359,0:37:40.160
where basically if you get
0:37:36.800,0:37:42.960
10 cards for the doom for doomsday
0:37:40.160,0:37:43.599
then uh the game ends and you’re both
0:37:42.960,0:37:45.839
dead
0:37:43.599,0:37:47.760
wow that’s rough yeah so basically you
0:37:45.839,0:37:50.400
both have to save each other from the
0:37:47.760,0:37:54.320
danger cards by rolling the die
0:37:50.400,0:37:55.680
um so that was what the blank space did
0:37:54.320,0:37:57.520
there was also another one with the
0:37:55.680,0:37:59.680
rhino space where basically
0:37:57.520,0:38:01.280
you can put a rhino in front of your
0:37:59.680,0:38:04.400
other player and they have to try
0:38:01.280,0:38:06.320
and roll to get out of it to stop the
0:38:04.400,0:38:08.079
rhino and every time they
0:38:06.320,0:38:10.000
failed to roll they’d have to move back
0:38:08.079,0:38:11.760
and the dino and the rhino would always
0:38:10.000,0:38:13.520
be one move and
0:38:11.760,0:38:14.960
one move in front of them but we really
0:38:13.520,0:38:18.720
didn’t use that
0:38:14.960,0:38:20.480
okay so you know a lot of time
0:38:18.720,0:38:22.560
over the holidays home together with the
0:38:20.480,0:38:24.400
family here we had a lot of different
0:38:22.560,0:38:29.119
activities to do
0:38:24.400,0:38:32.079
um i was off for a week and a half which
0:38:29.119,0:38:33.839
to me was agonizing because i knew i had
0:38:32.079,0:38:36.000
so much stuff that was piling up at the
0:38:33.839,0:38:38.960
office that needed to get done
0:38:36.000,0:38:40.079
um you were off for two weeks a little
0:38:38.960,0:38:41.680
over two weeks
0:38:40.079,0:38:43.280
well a little longer two little under
0:38:41.680,0:38:45.040
two weeks uh
0:38:43.280,0:38:47.040
mommy was off about the same amount of
0:38:45.040,0:38:47.760
time i was so we had a lot of time
0:38:47.040,0:38:49.760
together
0:38:47.760,0:38:51.599
um what do you think you think you
0:38:49.760,0:38:54.560
enjoyed the time the family time
0:38:51.599,0:38:56.480
yeah i liked it um we definitely had a
0:38:54.560,0:38:57.680
lot of family bonding and i really
0:38:56.480,0:39:00.400
appreciated that
0:38:57.680,0:39:01.760
since normally during the week we really
0:39:00.400,0:39:04.160
don’t have that much time
0:39:01.760,0:39:05.040
especially since you leave the house and
0:39:04.160,0:39:08.480
me and mommy
0:39:05.040,0:39:10.400
have school and work yeah so
0:39:08.480,0:39:12.079
good good i’m glad you enjoyed the time
0:39:10.400,0:39:13.520
i did too yep
0:39:12.079,0:39:15.520
so we’re going to take our last break
0:39:13.520,0:39:17.200
here we’re going to come back and we’ll
0:39:15.520,0:39:19.280
talk about
0:39:17.200,0:39:20.880
some of the challenges of getting back
0:39:19.280,0:39:23.599
into the routine
0:39:20.880,0:39:24.960
uh i think we all face those and uh
0:39:23.599,0:39:27.200
we’ll take a look ahead
0:39:24.960,0:39:28.079
and talk about what we think is uh on
0:39:27.200,0:39:30.250
the horizon
0:39:28.079,0:39:38.400
for us i’ll be right back

welcome back to our year in review
0:40:42.480,0:40:46.720
episode here
0:40:44.240,0:40:48.240
uh let’s talk a little bit about getting
0:40:46.720,0:40:51.040
back into the routine
0:40:48.240,0:40:51.520
uh we just talked about before the break
0:40:51.040,0:40:54.880
that
0:40:51.520,0:40:57.839
we all kind of had an extended down time
0:40:54.880,0:41:00.560
away from work and school and you know
0:40:57.839,0:41:03.200
invariably during that time
0:41:00.560,0:41:05.040
our sleep schedules get messed up our
0:41:03.200,0:41:07.599
eating habits get messed up
0:41:05.040,0:41:09.280
and we get all kind of out of our normal
0:41:07.599,0:41:11.119
routines and
0:41:09.280,0:41:12.720
it’s oftentimes a struggle to get back
0:41:11.119,0:41:15.440
into it
0:41:12.720,0:41:17.440
so let’s talk sleep routine you know i
0:41:15.440,0:41:18.800
was having all kinds of trouble sleeping
0:41:17.440,0:41:21.760
because of the
0:41:18.800,0:41:22.240
the shoulder pain that i’ve been in um
0:41:21.760,0:41:24.400
so
0:41:22.240,0:41:26.480
my my sleep schedule’s kind of been off
0:41:24.400,0:41:28.400
whack for quite some time now how did it
0:41:26.480,0:41:28.720
affect you were you staying up late were
0:41:28.400,0:41:31.040
you
0:41:28.720,0:41:32.640
sleeping in late what was some of the
0:41:31.040,0:41:34.640
stuff that was outside your routine that
0:41:32.640,0:41:35.680
you were normally that was happening
0:41:34.640,0:41:39.359
during the break
0:41:35.680,0:41:43.040
well i was staying up
0:41:39.359,0:41:45.280
late and sleeping late
0:41:43.040,0:41:47.040
um which is definitely not my custom
0:41:45.280,0:41:50.160
because i normally wake up at 6
0:41:47.040,0:41:52.400
30 and go to bed at nine
0:41:50.160,0:41:53.839
right so how late were you sleeping
0:41:52.400,0:41:56.720
until
0:41:53.839,0:41:58.079
um i was typically i was typically
0:41:56.720,0:42:00.560
sleeping until like
0:41:58.079,0:42:02.000
eight or nine even and how late were you
0:42:00.560,0:42:06.000
going to bed
0:42:02.000,0:42:07.760
ah 11. so you should kind of really
0:42:06.000,0:42:09.280
what you did was you shifted your
0:42:07.760,0:42:12.400
schedule an hour
0:42:09.280,0:42:16.480
to to the lather later side of things
0:42:12.400,0:42:18.560
yeah and uh we tried
0:42:16.480,0:42:20.560
gradually to get you back into that
0:42:18.560,0:42:22.880
schedule before
0:42:20.560,0:42:24.960
school actually started were we
0:42:22.880,0:42:29.440
successful with that
0:42:24.960,0:42:32.000
i mean yeah i definitely had a
0:42:29.440,0:42:32.880
pretty decent i had a pretty big
0:42:32.000,0:42:34.960
struggle
0:42:32.880,0:42:36.160
on sunday night when i had to get when i
0:42:34.960,0:42:38.800
knew i had school
0:42:36.160,0:42:40.720
in the morning tomorrow but the good
0:42:38.800,0:42:43.280
thing was it was more of a flex day
0:42:40.720,0:42:44.000
and like an introductory back end so it
0:42:43.280,0:42:47.359
wasn’t
0:42:44.000,0:42:49.760
completely horrible right um but
0:42:47.359,0:42:50.640
i definitely had trouble sleeping that
0:42:49.760,0:42:54.640
night
0:42:50.640,0:42:56.880
um i ended up having
0:42:54.640,0:42:58.880
it wasn’t just like that my schedule was
0:42:56.880,0:43:01.440
messed up it was just
0:42:58.880,0:43:02.800
i was worrying a lot yeah yeah you tend
0:43:01.440,0:43:04.560
to do that
0:43:02.800,0:43:07.119
you know you were you were concerned
0:43:04.560,0:43:08.720
about assignments you were concerned
0:43:07.119,0:43:10.640
about grades you were concerned about
0:43:08.720,0:43:12.400
getting back into things
0:43:10.640,0:43:15.040
uh but one of the things that mommy and
0:43:12.400,0:43:17.040
i were kind of trying to
0:43:15.040,0:43:18.720
instill upon you was the fact that you
0:43:17.040,0:43:21.280
know you’re not the only person
0:43:18.720,0:43:23.200
you know it’d be different if you had
0:43:21.280,0:43:25.280
gone on vacation for a week
0:43:23.200,0:43:26.319
and all this happened and then you came
0:43:25.280,0:43:28.079
back and
0:43:26.319,0:43:29.520
you had to jump right back in where
0:43:28.079,0:43:31.200
things were because everyone was still
0:43:29.520,0:43:33.520
in the thick of things
0:43:31.200,0:43:35.680
but what did you find did you find it
0:43:33.520,0:43:37.440
that everyone was sort of easing back
0:43:35.680,0:43:38.800
in or did you have to hit the ground
0:43:37.440,0:43:40.640
running monday morning
0:43:38.800,0:43:41.920
the good thing was everyone was just
0:43:40.640,0:43:44.800
easing back in
0:43:41.920,0:43:45.440
and it was really nice this week was
0:43:44.800,0:43:49.280
actually
0:43:45.440,0:43:51.119
pretty easy except for history but uh
0:43:49.280,0:43:52.800
but before we left i was actually kind
0:43:51.119,0:43:54.800
of confused on that as well
0:43:52.800,0:43:57.280
so it didn’t really come to a big shock
0:43:54.800,0:44:00.400
but i was able to get back into it
0:43:57.280,0:44:04.319
good so it sounds like for the most part
0:44:00.400,0:44:06.480
um the the downtime didn’t really throw
0:44:04.319,0:44:07.359
off your schedule your routine too much
0:44:06.480,0:44:09.040
and
0:44:07.359,0:44:10.800
it sounds like by the end of the first
0:44:09.040,0:44:13.040
full week back you seem to be back in
0:44:10.800,0:44:16.560
the swing of things aren’t you
0:44:13.040,0:44:18.640
so any any uh
0:44:16.560,0:44:20.480
lingering effects of that or anything
0:44:18.640,0:44:21.200
are you tired are you fatigued or
0:44:20.480,0:44:24.800
anything
0:44:21.200,0:44:28.480
i mean i am i have been feeling like
0:44:24.800,0:44:29.440
tired sometimes um but it’s not really
0:44:28.480,0:44:31.440
for too long
0:44:29.440,0:44:33.839
and not really a lasting effect to the
0:44:31.440,0:44:36.960
point where like i’m like oh i need to
0:44:33.839,0:44:37.760
like take a nap or something good good
0:44:36.960,0:44:39.599
so you’re
0:44:37.760,0:44:41.119
we’re pretty much back into the swing of
0:44:39.599,0:44:43.280
things without too much room and i’m the
0:44:41.119,0:44:45.520
same way with work too you know
0:44:43.280,0:44:46.800
i struggle the first day or two at work
0:44:45.520,0:44:48.560
overwhelmed with stuff
0:44:46.800,0:44:50.560
and you know since then i’ve kind of
0:44:48.560,0:44:52.160
caught up and everything’s back to
0:44:50.560,0:44:53.760
normal
0:44:52.160,0:44:56.319
so let’s take a look ahead one of the
0:44:53.760,0:44:58.160
things that a lot of people do
0:44:56.319,0:44:59.359
this time of year when the new year
0:44:58.160,0:45:02.079
changes
0:44:59.359,0:45:05.040
is they have new year’s resolutions so
0:45:02.079,0:45:08.400
do you have any new year’s resolutions
0:45:05.040,0:45:11.440
uh i mean
0:45:08.400,0:45:13.599
kinda like i have hopes i wouldn’t
0:45:11.440,0:45:15.040
like say they’re entirely resolutioned
0:45:13.599,0:45:17.200
because i know not a lot of people
0:45:15.040,0:45:20.560
follow their resolutions
0:45:17.200,0:45:22.880
um my like hopes
0:45:20.560,0:45:24.880
one of them is just to exercise a bit
0:45:22.880,0:45:28.160
more um because of school
0:45:24.880,0:45:29.920
i had that kind of exercise up going on
0:45:28.160,0:45:31.839
because of my fitness logs
0:45:29.920,0:45:33.920
because my teacher made it mandatory for
0:45:31.839,0:45:35.280
us to exercise for at least 30 minutes a
0:45:33.920,0:45:37.839
day
0:45:35.280,0:45:40.000
so i had a decent routine where i would
0:45:37.839,0:45:42.400
basically dance for 20 minutes and then
0:45:40.000,0:45:45.599
do something else for the extra 10
0:45:42.400,0:45:47.599
um because well i really liked
0:45:45.599,0:45:48.720
doing just dance and dancing to the
0:45:47.599,0:45:50.319
songs so
0:45:48.720,0:45:52.160
and we got the subscription now so we
0:45:50.319,0:45:55.280
have all the songs yep
0:45:52.160,0:45:57.280
right all right so no no
0:45:55.280,0:45:58.480
major new year’s resolutions i’m not a
0:45:57.280,0:46:00.319
big fan of nigger’s
0:45:58.480,0:46:01.599
resolutions either i think if anything
0:46:00.319,0:46:03.680
you could
0:46:01.599,0:46:04.960
you should kind of always strive to live
0:46:03.680,0:46:08.000
your life a certain way
0:46:04.960,0:46:09.599
and you know having the calendar change
0:46:08.000,0:46:12.240
to a new year shouldn’t really affect
0:46:09.599,0:46:14.240
that as my opinion
0:46:12.240,0:46:15.280
so what things are you looking forward
0:46:14.240,0:46:17.119
to in
0:46:15.280,0:46:18.319
the coming year and the rest of this
0:46:17.119,0:46:18.880
school year is there anything that
0:46:18.319,0:46:21.200
you’re
0:46:18.880,0:46:24.640
interested in excited about looking
0:46:21.200,0:46:24.640
forward to anything like that
0:46:24.880,0:46:31.440
well i am interested to see
0:46:28.400,0:46:34.160
um how band plays out um
0:46:31.440,0:46:36.720
since that was that was funny how band
0:46:34.160,0:46:36.720
plays out
0:46:36.880,0:46:43.920
that was not planned trust me so
0:46:41.200,0:46:45.920
um i am interested to see how we’re
0:46:43.920,0:46:47.440
going to be doing band because we are
0:46:45.920,0:46:50.079
going to get more into
0:46:47.440,0:46:52.079
spring songs and he is kind of hoping
0:46:50.079,0:46:53.520
that at some point we might even be able
0:46:52.079,0:46:56.720
to do like a
0:46:53.520,0:46:59.040
social distance spring concert possibly
0:46:56.720,0:47:00.960
wouldn’t that be nice yeah and we’re
0:46:59.040,0:47:02.240
hoping to change up the meeting so that
0:47:00.960,0:47:04.560
now we can see
0:47:02.240,0:47:06.720
all of our faces and have a little bit
0:47:04.560,0:47:09.040
more human interaction because before we
0:47:06.720,0:47:11.520
can only really see his face on our own
0:47:09.040,0:47:13.200
right good well that’s that hopefully
0:47:11.520,0:47:15.520
that works out
0:47:13.200,0:47:17.119
so one of the things that you had done
0:47:15.520,0:47:18.240
before the break that we should be
0:47:17.119,0:47:21.839
hearing about
0:47:18.240,0:47:24.079
come february is you had applied
0:47:21.839,0:47:26.480
to participate in the defferent high
0:47:24.079,0:47:28.400
school academy program
0:47:26.480,0:47:30.559
and specifically you applied to the
0:47:28.400,0:47:31.839
academy of engineering and computer
0:47:30.559,0:47:34.480
sciences
0:47:31.839,0:47:35.440
why don’t you tell us a little bit about
0:47:34.480,0:47:39.599
what that is
0:47:35.440,0:47:42.960
and what you hope to get out of it well
0:47:39.599,0:47:45.760
what from what i know of the academy
0:47:42.960,0:47:48.000
it’s basically going to be teach it’s
0:47:45.760,0:47:52.640
basically going to be something that
0:47:48.000,0:47:54.079
we have for um the whole uh the four
0:47:52.640,0:47:57.359
years of high school
0:47:54.079,0:47:59.440
and uh we’re gradually going to
0:47:57.359,0:48:01.440
everyone starts out with the same class
0:47:59.440,0:48:02.319
and then as you get into the later
0:48:01.440,0:48:04.319
grades
0:48:02.319,0:48:05.599
you get more options more and more
0:48:04.319,0:48:08.640
options for what
0:48:05.599,0:48:11.839
you want and you get to
0:48:08.640,0:48:14.480
um spread out and you get to learn
0:48:11.839,0:48:15.680
more about engineering and computer
0:48:14.480,0:48:18.800
sciences
0:48:15.680,0:48:20.960
very cool sounds interesting yeah um
0:48:18.800,0:48:22.640
and i’m definitely kind of looking and
0:48:20.960,0:48:24.800
i’m pretty luck and i’m looking
0:48:22.640,0:48:26.160
forward to that because it sounded
0:48:24.800,0:48:29.440
really cool from
0:48:26.160,0:48:32.720
the video that they showed us and i’m
0:48:29.440,0:48:34.160
and i have a knack for i have a knack
0:48:32.720,0:48:35.680
for science and
0:48:34.160,0:48:37.839
i think it would definitely help my
0:48:35.680,0:48:40.240
creativity as well as
0:48:37.839,0:48:41.680
ingenuity yeah there’s a lot of artwork
0:48:40.240,0:48:42.319
that’s involved there that i think you
0:48:41.680,0:48:44.400
would enjoy
0:48:42.319,0:48:46.160
a lot of digital artwork that that you
0:48:44.400,0:48:47.599
can get into and
0:48:46.160,0:48:50.240
and i think it’d be a great way of
0:48:47.599,0:48:52.559
steering your interest towards
0:48:50.240,0:48:54.079
uh you know what you want to do after
0:48:52.559,0:48:55.440
high school whether it’s college or
0:48:54.079,0:48:58.400
trade school or
0:48:55.440,0:48:59.680
a profession or something like that um
0:48:58.400,0:49:01.200
and they offer several different
0:48:59.680,0:49:03.200
academies this happens to be the one
0:49:01.200,0:49:04.480
that that was the most interesting to
0:49:03.200,0:49:06.319
you
0:49:04.480,0:49:08.480
but it’s definitely something worth
0:49:06.319,0:49:10.480
worth looking forward to
0:49:08.480,0:49:11.839
now let’s flip the coin a little bit
0:49:10.480,0:49:15.040
there and let me ask you
0:49:11.839,0:49:17.680
is there anything that you might have
0:49:15.040,0:49:19.359
concerns about or worries about is there
0:49:17.680,0:49:20.559
is there a particular class that you’re
0:49:19.359,0:49:23.599
concerned about
0:49:20.559,0:49:25.440
are there activities that are concerning
0:49:23.599,0:49:27.440
you or lack of activities with the
0:49:25.440,0:49:29.119
current circumstances like what are your
0:49:27.440,0:49:31.040
what are your thoughts
0:49:29.119,0:49:32.240
moving forward for the rest of the year
0:49:31.040,0:49:35.920
and and
0:49:32.240,0:49:40.160
what’s a a concern on your radar
0:49:35.920,0:49:43.599
well i am going to
0:49:40.160,0:49:47.040
i am kind of interested to see
0:49:43.599,0:49:49.760
how pumpkin is going to
0:49:47.040,0:49:50.240
continue to adjust so far pumpkin being
0:49:49.760,0:49:53.440
our
0:49:50.240,0:49:56.720
art new kitten a new kitten
0:49:53.440,0:49:59.520
um and so far she’s adapted
0:49:56.720,0:50:00.319
pretty well she’s starting to finally
0:49:59.520,0:50:03.839
warm up to
0:50:00.319,0:50:06.880
us by means of letting us pet her
0:50:03.839,0:50:09.520
and wanting to play more um
0:50:06.880,0:50:11.760
and i’ve seen a significant impact with
0:50:09.520,0:50:14.240
her relationship with the other cats
0:50:11.760,0:50:15.200
nice nice that’s and it is nice to see
0:50:14.240,0:50:18.319
her
0:50:15.200,0:50:20.800
starting to uh get more affectionate
0:50:18.319,0:50:22.720
and and develop that trust with everyone
0:50:20.800,0:50:24.559
around her which
0:50:22.720,0:50:26.079
you know only makes the fact that she
0:50:24.559,0:50:27.440
stands and she lays down
0:50:26.079,0:50:29.760
in front of you every chance he gets
0:50:27.440,0:50:33.119
when you’re walking even more adorable
0:50:29.760,0:50:36.559
yeah and dorothy has made a significant
0:50:33.119,0:50:39.119
improvement over just hissing
0:50:36.559,0:50:40.240
indeed she has dorothy did not take to
0:50:39.119,0:50:41.839
her very well
0:50:40.240,0:50:43.920
uh initially and she’s definitely
0:50:41.839,0:50:45.760
getting better
0:50:43.920,0:50:48.079
so i think that was all we we had to
0:50:45.760,0:50:50.079
talk about nice easy day today
0:50:48.079,0:50:52.000
uh we’ll take a quick break we’ll come
0:50:50.079,0:50:52.640
back we’ll get your closing thoughts and
0:50:52.000,0:50:54.319
uh
0:50:52.640,0:50:56.140
finish up the rest of the podcast
0:50:54.319,0:51:01.200
business that we have
0:50:56.140,0:51:04.720
[Music]
0:51:01.200,0:51:06.160
go for your closing thoughts okay so
0:51:04.720,0:51:09.440
i’m pretty sure everyone out there
0:51:06.160,0:51:12.160
already knows but 2020 was a
0:51:09.440,0:51:13.200
crazy year to say the least that’s
0:51:12.160,0:51:16.400
putting it mildly
0:51:13.200,0:51:18.559
yes and 2021 is
0:51:16.400,0:51:20.240
hopefully going to at least bring some
0:51:18.559,0:51:23.599
peace to
0:51:20.240,0:51:26.319
a crazy year that was 2020. um
0:51:23.599,0:51:27.040
i definitely think it’s important to be
0:51:26.319,0:51:30.640
mindful
0:51:27.040,0:51:34.079
looking forward um but also hopeful
0:51:30.640,0:51:36.400
we need we need to have some good
0:51:34.079,0:51:39.119
positive vibes going forward
0:51:36.400,0:51:40.240
because it would make the year at least
0:51:39.119,0:51:42.800
a little better
0:51:40.240,0:51:44.960
amen to that we definitely need a better
0:51:42.800,0:51:48.240
year this year than we had last year
0:51:44.960,0:51:49.760
yeah before we go i do want to bug

0:52:01.359,0:52:06.640

next month so i’ve had the date written
0:52:06.640,0:52:10.160
down and i didn’t bring it up with me i
0:52:08.079,0:52:11.520

or so
